Descendancy is a five-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you slip into Federation space with Sesha and Marla to dig up restricted Starfleet files, uncover what happened in the Voss system, and deliver the result to Khan. Every part is recommended for level 30, warp to complete peaks at 17, and the chain starts in Rigel. The biggest payouts are more than 6.8 million Parsteel, 38 Augment Credits, and a spread of speed ups. It is a compact, fight-heavy chain that fits a level 30 combat ship well.

  • Take the embryo to Khan. (Duriana)

Warp to complete: 7. Recommended level 30.

Tips for completing Descendancy

Start collecting Corrupted Data before you reach the end. Part 5 asks for 250 of it, and if you arrive short, the chain stops one objective from the finish. Part 2 also has a payment step: Sesha wants 100k Dilithium before you can move on to the USS Wexford, so keep that amount in reserve.

Combat is spread across four of the five parts. The heaviest stretch is Part 2, where the USS Carolina (around 200,351) and the USS Wexford (around 198,251) come in the same system with only the Dilithium hand-off between them. Repair after the first fight if you can. The Rigellian bounty hunter in Part 1 and Troh’Ka in Part 4 are lighter, both around 133,290.

At the Part 3 split, the rewards match, so the only difference is the fight. Path B faces the Voss Sentry at about 129,975 strength, well below the Starfleet scout at about 204,300. If your ship is on the edge at level 30, take Path B for the easier win.

Warp is modest for the level. Part 2 reaches 17 and the last two parts stay within warp 7, so the second half of the chain moves quickly through Augment space. Part 1 hands out 9 three-hour speed ups early, which you can put straight into repairs or upgrades while you work through the rest.

Descendancy ties into the Augment storyline with Khan, Sesha, and Marla, so it is worth running if you are following the Augment missions. More chains at this level are in the STFC mission guide.

Are the Descendancy rewards worth it?

Yes. Across five parts you collect 6,819,000 Parsteel, 460,000 Tritanium, 154,000 Dilithium, 38 Augment Credits, 13 Latinum, and 30 Common Plutonium, along with 76 repair speed ups and several regular speed ups. The costs are 100k Dilithium and 250 Corrupted Data, and the fights are manageable for a level 30 combat ship. The Parsteel alone from Parts 2 and 3 makes the chain a good use of an evening.
