More Harm Than Good

More Harm Than Good is a level 73 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help Nardo the Pakled shake off Starfleet after he steals one of their ships. It is picked up in Alriahin and needs warp 2,100 to start and to complete. You fight three Starfleet pursuers, each listed at a little over 11 trillion strength. The reward is 126,000 Σ-Tritanium, two 1 Day Assignment Speed Ups and 1,500 Σ-Föderation Credits, a fair return if your ship handles back-to-back fights at this level.

More Harm Than Good objectives

Nardo has taken a Mayflower-class Starfleet vessel for the Forsaken, flying it alone with automated systems, and three Starfleet ships are on his tail. Maia worries that if he leads them back to Forsaken space, it could spark a conflict between the Federation and the Forsaken. There is no choice split:

  • Meet with Nardo in Baerhia.
  • Disable the Starfleet ship tailing Nardo’s ship in Baerhia (enemy strength ~11,152,566,560,497).
  • Catch up with Nardo in Eurrea.
  • Disable another Starfleet ship tailing Nardo in Eurrea (enemy strength ~11,426,936,123,691).
  • Transfer Nardo onto your ship in Thocara.
  • Disable the final Starfleet pursuer in Thocara (enemy strength ~11,527,605,156,182).

Every fight is meant to disable rather than destroy, and Maia confirms after each one that the Starfleet crews are alive. Once Nardo is on your ship, the stolen vessel is left behind for Starfleet to recover. Then Nardo lets slip that he has already hidden several more stolen ships for the Forsaken.

Wo und welcher Warp

You pick the mission up in Alriahin, and the objectives take you through Baerhia, Eurrea and Thocara. Warp 2,100 is enough both to start and to finish. The recommended level is 73.

Other level 73 Federation missions

The Forsaken offer five Federation missions at level 73. The reputation and Gravimetric Data match across all of them; the rest of the payout is what differs:

Mission Pickup Warp to complete Main rewards
More Harm Than Good Alriahin 2,100 126,000 Σ-Tritanium, 2 1 Day Assignment Speed Up, 1,500 Σ-Federation Credits
Hearts in the Right Place Alriahin 2,100 1,494,000 7★ Rohgas, 117,000 7★ Broken Explorer Parts, 1,400 Σ-Federation Credits
Buying Favor Nisindei 2,100 96,000 Σ-Dilithium, 4,000 Trait XP, 2,500 Σ-Federation Credits
Cold Feet Baerhia 2,100 2,720,000 7★ Raw Kristall, 213,000 7★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 2,600 Σ-Federation Credits
Suppression Order Ohz’Ahtis 3,000 1,387,000 7★ Raw Erze, 109,000 7★ Broken Survey Parts, 1,300 Σ-Federation Credits

Those hidden ships are the subject of Hearts in the Right Place, whose goal is to get rid of Nardo’s stolen ships before the Forsaken find them. Both start in Alriahin, so they pair well in one session.

Tips

Repair between fights. The three pursuers climb from about 11.15 trillion to about 11.53 trillion strength, and the mission gives no break between them other than the travel, so a ship that barely wins the first fight will struggle with the third.

The 126,000 Σ-Tritanium is the most useful part of the payout, and it is enough to cover the 80K Σ-Tritanium donation that Buying Favor asks for. Where else Σ-Tritanium comes from is covered on the Σ resources page.

As with every Forsaken mission, the Federation gain comes with Romulan and Klingon losses, and the 20.7 billion Klingon loss is bigger than the gain. Check Fraktionsruf if you are trying to stay neutral with the Klingonisch faction. The Forsaken are introduced in the Margins, and every other mission at this level is listed on the mission guide.
