Emptiness is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you go into Romulan space to retrieve more Crucibles. You search Vola, move on to Ortexa when the first search comes up short, defeat a Romulanisch Officer and return to your station. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 75 to complete. The reward is 1,028,000 Dilithium and 500 4★ Gemeinsame Interceptor Parts, and finishing it unlocks A Cautious Approach. It is the Romulan leg of a Crucible hunt that crosses three factions’ space.
Emptiness objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Find the Crucibles in Romulan Space. Location: Vola.
- Search elsewhere for the Crucibles. Location: Ortexa.
- Defeat the Romulan Officer. Location: Ortexa. Enemy strength is roughly 1,969,977.
- Return to Your Station.
The Romulan Officer in Ortexa is the only fight. Vola is a search step only.
Wo und welcher Warp
You can accept Emptiness at warp 1, and warp 75 covers the trip into Romulan space and back. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The warp 75 range and a Romulan Officer at nearly 2 million strength are what actually decide when you can run it.
The game lists Romulan Traders, Romulan Patrols and Romulan Enforcers in Vola at level 38 to 44. Ortexa has Romulan Patrols and Enforcers at the same levels, plus fifteen Romulan Elite Assassins. None of them are mission targets.

The Crucible missions
Emptiness is the middle of three Crucible Missionen, each set in a different faction’s territory.

Between them the three missions pay 4★ parts for Schlachtschiffe, explorers and interceptors. Emptiness is the one to run if you are building an interceptor.
Tips
Do not waste time fighting in Vola. The Crucibles are not there, and the only objective in that system is the search.
A Cautious Approach also finishes at warp 75, so a ship that can complete Emptiness is ready for the next step. The Lion’s Den before it needs only warp 65, which makes Emptiness the first of the three to ask for the higher range.
Arrive in Ortexa at full health. Fifteen Elite Assassins are listed there, and the Romulan Officer is a nearly 2 million strength fight on its own.
The 500 4★ Common Interceptor Parts are the headline reward. Other missions by level are listed on the Missionsleitfaden.
