Klingonische Patrouille

The Klingon Patrol is a Klingon hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command that spawns from level 20 to level 55 in all three combat hull types: Interceptor, Explorer, and Battleship. It roams Klingon space, from warp-17 border systems like Baryn and Khitomer out to warp-230 deep territory. Kills raise your Federation and Romulanisch reputation, lower your Klingon reputation, and pay Parsteel and Tritanium at lower levels, with 4★ broken ship parts from level 39 up. Check which hull you’re facing before you attack and bring the class that counters it.

How to beat the Klingon Patrol

Unlike single-hull hostiles, the Patrol spawns as an Interceptor, an Explorer, or a Battleship, so the counter changes from target to target. The class triangle decides it: Interceptors beat Schlachtschiffe, Battleships beat Explorers, and Explorers beat Interceptors. Vermessungsschiffe barely fight and should stay out of it. Tap the Patrol before attacking to see its hull, then send the counter: an Explorer against the Interceptor version, an Interceptor against the Battleship version, and a Battleship against the Explorer version. If you only have one strong combat ship, filter for the variant it counters and skip the rest.

For crew, the pattern is a captain that raises weapon damage against hostiles plus Offiziere that add damage or survivability. In the lower half of this hostile’s range, the classic cadet crew (Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura) does the job and is easy to unlock. Where to find the Klingon Patrol

Patrols blanket Klingon space, and the level you meet climbs the deeper you fly. Levels 20 to 26 sit in warp-17 border systems around Antonehk, Baryn, BeK, and Khitomer. The mid band, levels 27 to 36, spreads through warp 18 to 26 territory such as H’Atoria, Morska, Beta Penthe, and Ok’Vak. From level 37 the spawns fan out across dozens of warp 28 to 120 systems, and the top of the range narrows sharply: levels 50 to 53 need warp 135 to 185, and levels 54 and 55 appear only in Aeryndor, Nimrith, and Rylothor at warp 230. Rewards and what it drops

The Patrol is a faction-reputation grind first and a materials source second. Every kill adds Federation and Romulan points while subtracting Klingon points, so farm it when you want to climb the Federation or Romulan reputation track and can absorb the Klingon hit. Levels 20 to 40 also pay Parsteel and Tritanium, and from level 39 the loot adds 4★ broken ship parts in all three classes, matching whichever hull variant you kill. Ship XP scales with level, from about 234 XP at level 20 to 3,502 XP at level 55.

Klingon Patrol firing pattern

The Patrol carries one energy weapon and a pair of kinetic weapons. The energy weapon fires every round for steady chip damage, while the two kinetic weapons hit much harder but only every other round. That alternating kinetic volley is the spike to plan around: expect the heavy hits on the off rounds and time your mitigation or repairs for them. The figures below are from the level 20 version and grow with level.

The Klingons in Star Trek

Die Klingonen are one of Star Trek’s oldest alien powers, introduced in the original series and fleshed out across every era since. Their empire is ruled from the homeworld Qo’noS by a High Council of noble houses, and their culture centers on honor, combat, and loyalty to house and empire. After decades of hostility with the Federation, the Khitomer Accords opened a lasting peace, and by The Next Generation a Klingon, Worf, served on the bridge of the Enterprise. In STFC’s timeline the empire is a rival power, and its patrol ships defend Klingon space against outsiders.

Is the Klingon Patrol worth grinding?

Yes, if you’re working a faction reputation track. The Patrol pays Federation and Romulan points across its whole 20 to 55 range, so it stays useful long after most hostiles age out, and the level 39+ kills add 4★ broken parts in every class. The cost is Klingon reputation, so skip it if you’re building Klingon standing. Practical tip: match your warp range, tap the target to check its hull, and only attack the variant your best ship counters.
