The Klingon Fortress is an armada target in Star Trek Fleet Command: a fortified Klingon station that appears at levels 24 through 51 across Klingon space, at warp ranges from 17 all the way out to 185. It is not a roaming hostile you pick off with a single ship; you bring it down with a formed armada. Every kill pays out Epic Armada Credits along with Föderation and Romulan reputation points.
How to beat the Klingon Fortress
There is no hull-counter puzzle here. The Klingonisch Fortress spawns as a station-type armada target, not as an Interceptor, Explorer, or Battleship, so the class triangle that governs roaming hostiles does not apply. What decides the fight is raw combined power. The level 24 version has a total strength of about 2.76 million, and the level 51 version sits at roughly 572 million, so check the target’s strength against what your group can actually field before anyone commits.
Armada targets are alliance content. One member launches the armada from the target’s system and the others join before the countdown runs out, so coordinate in alliance chat and stage ships in or near the system before anyone hits the button. A short warp beats a missed timer. Repair before you join, not after: the Fortress hits hard enough (see the firing pattern below) that one half-patched ship drags the whole group down.
Crew for damage. The working principle is the same as any hostile fight: a captain whose ability raises weapon damage against hostiles, backed by Offiziere that add damage or shave down incoming hits. Armada lineups shift with the meta, so check the officer tier list for current picks before you lock in a crew.
Where to find the Klingon Fortress
The Klingon Fortress sits in Klingonenfraktion space, and each level step moves deeper into it. The level 24 target waits in K’amia at warp 17, comfortably reachable early. The level 42 version is the easiest to farm, spread across six systems around warp 70, while the level 51 target holds Tej’Lukk at warp 185. Note the jump in the middle: the warp requirement nearly doubles between level 39 (warp 38) and level 42 (warp 70), so many players park at 39 for a while. If your alliance is still building warp range, everything from level 24 to 39 sits inside warp 38, which keeps the first six tiers within reach of mid-game ships.
| Ebene | Warp | Systeme |
|---|---|---|
| 24 | 17 | K’amia |
| 27 | 19 | Enthra |
| 30 | 22 | H’Atoria |
| 33 | 31 | Ok’Vak |
| 36 | 37 | Jiwu’puH |
| 39 | 38 | Ursva |
| 42 | 70 | B'Oh, Elaraeth, Lorthian, Quorix, Vandris, Zyphara |
| 45 | 105 | Maht-H’A |
| 48 | 135 | Ch’Kmulk |
| 51 | 185 | Tej’Lukk |
Rewards and what it drops
The Fortress pays out three things, and all of them scale hard with level. Epic Armada Credits run from 236 per kill at level 24 up to 138,272 at level 51, and they are the reason most alliances farm this target. The reputation payout is worth planning around too: each kill grants Federation points (360 up to 196,000) and Romulan points at half that rate (180 up to 98,000), so hitting Klingon armada targets raises your standing with both rival factions at once. Each kill also grants ship XP, from 336 at level 24 to 1,461 at level 51; the full numbers are in the stats table below.
| Ablegen | What it is |
|---|---|
| Epic Armada Credit | Armada store currency, spent on reward chests |
| Federation Points | Reputation points with the Föderationsfraktion |
| Romulan Points | Reputation points with the Romulan faction |
Klingon Fortress stats
One caveat before the table: these are anchor rows at low, mid, and high level, and the numbers climb steeply between them. The gap from level 39 to 51 is nearly a factor of ten in strength, and every column grows with it, so a group that comfortably clears one tier can still bounce off the next.
| Ebene | Total strength | Hull HP | Shield HP | Angriff | Verteidigung | Ship XP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24 | 2,757,793 | 3,146,400 | 1,573,200 | 124,243 | 273,750 | 336 |
| 39 | 64,300,251 | 76,618,770 | 38,309,380 | 3,736,986 | 3,099,190 | 868 |
| 51 | 572,005,639 | 635,286,812 | 317,643,406 | 48,853,525 | 46,687,005 | 1,461 |
Klingon Fortress firing pattern
The Fortress fires two weapon groups. Three energy weapons hit every round for 11,794 to 15,101 damage per shot, and two kinetic weapons land the heavy blows, 35,583 to 43,490 per shot, every other round. Expect the alternating rounds to spike: when the kinetic volley lands, incoming damage roughly triples. These figures come from the level 24 record; higher-level versions scale up from here.
| Weapon type | Count | Damage per shot | Fires | Crit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Energie | 3 | 11,794–15,101 | Every round | 10% (1.5x) |
| Kinetic | 2 | 35,583–43,490 | Every other round | 10% (1.5x) |
The Klingons in Star Trek
The Klingons are one of Star Trek’s oldest alien powers, introduced in the original series as the Federation’s main rival and fleshed out over decades into a warrior culture built on honor, ritual combat, and loyalty to the Empire. Their homeworld is Qo’noS, seat of the High Council and the Chancellor. Relations with the Federation swung from open war to alliance after the Khitomer Accords, a shift embodied by Worf, the first Klingon officer to serve in Starfleet. A fortress bristling with disruptors fits the Empire’s doctrine perfectly: territory is held with overwhelming firepower, not diplomacy.
Is the Klingon Fortress worth grinding?
Yes, if your alliance runs armadas in Klingon space. The Fortress is a steady source of Epic Armada Credits, and the double reputation payout makes it a smart pick while you push Federation or Romulan standing. Start at the highest level your armada clears reliably, and read the strength column before you launch: the jump between levels is much bigger than the level numbers suggest.
