Back and Forth is a Romulan storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you prepare for the next Romulan attack. The mission starts with a purchase: meet the trader in Hilo and pay 5M Dilithium. You carry the shield to Rihala’s base in Er’Tama, then farm 15 kills anywhere at level 45 or higher. The Romulan Commander in Er’Tama is the final step, and the mission ends there.

Back and Forth is the only one of the three with no faction points in its rewards. If you took the diversion path in Double Down, its 9.45M Dilithium more than covers the 5M donation here.
Tips
Have the 5M Dilithium ready before you start. The donation is the second step, and nothing moves until it is paid.
Farm the 15 kills wherever is quickest. The objective names no system, only a level floor of 45.
Repair before the Romulan Commander. The fight comes after the kill grind, and at about 5.9 million it decides the mission. Other missions sorted by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
