Gravitas is a level 71 neutral station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You gather Gravimetric Daten, send it off, and then upgrade Operations to level 72. It needs only warp 1 to start and complete, because the Gravimetric Data comes from missions you run elsewhere and the rest happens on your station. The payout is 307,000 Σ-Tritanium and 7,840,000 Latinum. That is a large Latinum reward for work you will likely be doing anyway, so it is worth keeping active while you play through the Margins.
Gravitas objectives
Cillian wants the crew to stay focused on the dimensional anomaly, and Ven has a shortcut: passive gravimetric sensors that log data while you carry on with normal missions. The objectives are:
- Collect Gravimetric Data.
- Transmit the Gravimetric Data.
- Upgrade Operations to level 72.
Maia’s instruction for the first step is to complete 8 missions in the Margins or the Veil to collect the data. Once it is sent on to Section 31, Cillian leaves for the base and Ven suggests upgrading Operations while the analysts work through it. There is no choice split and no combat step of its own.
Wo und welcher Warp
Gravitas has no pickup system and lists warp 1 to start and to complete. The warp you actually need depends on the Margins or Veil missions you complete for the data. The recommended level is 71, and the final step needs Operations at level 72, which is the real gate.
Gravitas rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Σ-Tritanium | 307,000 |
| Latinum | 7,840,000 |
Completing Gravitas also unlocks the next mission in the chain.
How Gravitas compares with similar missions
Gravitas is one of a set of neutral missions that pair Gravimetric Data with an Operations upgrade. Hammer and Tongs, the Operations 71 mission, sits at the same level. All of them list warp 1:
| Mission | Ebene | Objectives | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hammer and Tongs | 71 | Upgrade Operations to level 71 | 33,000 Σ-Parsteel, 199,000 Latinum |
| Gravitas | 71 | Gravimetric Data, then Operations 72 | 307,000 Σ-Tritanium, 7,840,000 Latinum |
| Dig Deep | 73 | Gravimetric Data, then Operations 74 | 202,000 Σ-Dilithium, 8,155,000 Latinum |
| Hang in There… | 74 | Gravimetric Data, then Operations 75 | 2,583,000 Σ-Parsteel, 8,320,000 Latinum |
The Latinum climbs only a little from one Gravimetric Data mission to the next, while the Σ reward changes type each time. Gravitas pays Tritanium, Dig Deep pays Dilithium and Hang in There pays a large block of Parsteel.
Tips
Start Gravitas as soon as it appears. The data collection runs alongside your normal Margins and Veil missions, so there is no reason to leave it idle while you work through the story missions there. Many Margins story missions at this level also list 1 Gravimetric Data in their rewards. If you are new to the region, the Margins chain is where its story begins.
Plan the Operations 72 upgrade early. The mission sits at that last objective until the building finishes, so starting the upgrade while you collect data saves time.
The 7.84 million Latinum is the headline reward, and the Σ-Tritanium feeds high-level station work (see Sigma resources). Since the mission is neutral, it has no effect on Fraktionsruf. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
