Dig Deep is a level 73 progression mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that asks you to gather Gravimetric Data, send it off and then raise Operations to level 74. It needs only warp 1 to start and to complete, since nothing happens at a pickup system. The reward is 202,000 Σ-Dilithium and 8,155,000 Latinum, and finishing it unlocks the next mission in the chain. For a player already working through the Margins, most of the effort overlaps with things you are doing anyway.
Dig Deep objectives
The crew has just learned that the Surgewalkers are Ven’s own people, changed by the interdimensional virus, and Cillian wants to keep everyone focused on the work. There is no choice split, and the three steps run in order:
- Collect Gravimetric Daten.
- Transmit the Gravimetric Data.
- Upgrade Operations to level 74.
Maia spells out the first step: complete 10 missions in the Margins or the Veil to collect the data. Derwin has decided to stay aboard rather than go back to his research station, and he collates the data as you go. Once Section 31 confirms it has the packet, Cillian says there is nothing to do but wait for new orders, and Ven turns to another round of improvements to Operations.
Wo und welcher Warp
No system is listed for any objective, and both the start and the finish are warp 1. The first objective still sends you out, though, because the Gravimetric Data comes from Margins and Veil missions, and those need their own warp. At level 73 that usually means the warp 2,100 missions in systems such as Grauga, Ivundia and Eurrea. The recommended level is 73.
Dig Deep rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Σ-Dilithium | 202,000 |
| Latinum | 8,155,000 |
Completing Dig Deep also unlocks the next mission in the chain.
Similar progression missions around level 73
Dig Deep belongs to a group of missions that share the same one-line brief (explore, complete missions and increase your power) and pay in Latinum plus one Σ resource. The neighbours at levels 71 and 74 compare like this:
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gravitas | 71 | 1 | 307,000 Σ-Tritanium, 7,840,000 Latinum |
| Dig Deep | 73 | 1 | 202,000 Σ-Dilithium, 8,155,000 Latinum |
| Hang in There… | 74 | 1 | 2,583,000 Σ-Parsteel, 8,320,000 Latinum |
The Latinum climbs a little at each step. Dig Deep is the only one of the three that pays in Σ-Dilithium, while the level 74 mission gives far more of its Σ resource.
Tips
Nearly every Margins mission at this level pays out 1 Gravimetric Data, so the 10 missions you need can be any mix of faction and neutral story missions. Picking ones that also pay the Ressourcen you are short on makes the first objective cost almost nothing extra.
The Operations upgrade is the slow part. Stockpile the materials for level 74 while you run the 10 missions, so the build can start the moment the objective appears. Upgrade costs and levels are on the Operations page.
The 8.1 million Latinum is the bigger payout by raw number, while the Σ-Dilithium feeds upgrades that use Σ resources. Section 31’s work in the Margins also runs through the Fracture chain at level 74, and the full list by level is on the mission guide.
