The Strange New Worlds arc is the Star Trek Fleet Command storyline in which you team up with Captain Pike and the crew of the Enterprise, from a transporter test with Hemmer to a mystery built on experiments carried out on living beings. It holds 85 missions: 14 mission chains and three standalone Archive missions, recommended from level 15 to 40, with warp to complete running from 1 to 61. The headline rewards are shards for the Strange New Worlds crew, 15 Reginald Barclay shards from Silver Screen, and more than 200 million Parsteel from Legacy Code at the top end.

How the Strange New Worlds arc works

The arc is a set of chains rather than one long questline. Most have five parts; Fear Itself, The Calling and Tread Lightly have ten. Nearly every part of a chain shares one recommended level, so the level groups are a good guide to play order.

The level 15 chains, A Beam Too Far, Best Left Unturned and When One Door Closes, never need more than warp 15. When One Door Closes leads into Silver Screen, which starts at your home station with your first Holodeck, and Silver Screen leads into Archive: Captain Quark, all at level 17 and warp 13 or less. At level 25, Breakthrough, Conflagration, Network Theory and The Mechanics of Resentment stay between warp 10 and 25.

The five level 34 chains mostly finish at warp 22 to 27, though three parts of Fear Itself go out to warp 40. Legacy Code is the big jump: level 40, warp 48 to 61 on four of its five parts, and a 5,000,000 Dilithium payment in Part 2 before it pays anything back.

Strange New Worlds arc rewards worth chasing

Officer shards are the main reason to run the arc. Silver Screen pays 15 Reginald Barclay shards across its two parts. SNW Erica Ortegas shards come from Network Theory Parts 2 and 5, Course Correction Parts 1 and 5, and Fear Itself Teil 5. SNW Una Chin-Riley pays out in Conflagration Parts 1 and 5 and Fear Itself Parts 1 and 10. SNW Nyota Uhura shards sit in Network Theory Parts 1 and 4 and Fear Itself Part 8, and SNW Hemmer shards in Ein Strahl zu weit Teil 5 und Die Berufung Teil 5. The Calling Part 10 adds two Strike Team SNW Una shards, and The Flight of the Manor Four Part 5 pays one each for Strike Team SNW La’an and Strike Team SNW Ortegas.

The Archive missions pay other crews: two Quark shards from Archive: Captain Quark, two each for Jean-Luc Picard and Worf from Archive: The Battle of Oltomon, and a William T. Riker shard from Archive: The Riker Maneuver. For resources, Legacy Code pays 202.5M Parsteel and 5,000 Latinum, and The Calling Part 3 hands out 330 each of 3★ Battleship, Explorer and Interceptor Parts.
