The Original Series arc, or TOS arc, is the Star Trek Fleet Command storyline built around an alternate-timeline USS Enterprise and its crew. It has 63 missions, made up of nine chains and three single missions, recommended from level 11 to 40, with warp to complete running from 1 to 70. The headline rewards are shards for seven TOS officers, led by 16 TOS James T. Kirk shards and 14 TOS Spock shards.

The story starts on the Federation and Romulan border, where contact with the Enterprise is lost and its signature vanishes, only to reappear almost at once. The ship that comes back is a counterpart from another timeline, pulled into this universe by quantum entanglement, with a crew that is similar to the one you know but different in many ways.

How the Original Series arc works

Most of the arc is chains of five or ten parts. Tribble Me This is the entry point at levels 11 to 13, never needs more than warp 8, and ends with a Tribble population you cannot stop.

The middle of the arc runs from level 25 to 30. Now and Then comes first at levels 25 and 26. At level 27, Doomsday follows Captain Decker’s hunt for the fleet that wrecked the USS Constellation, and three single missions sit alongside it: All the Battles Past, which unlocks All the Wars to Come, and The Road to Hell, which puts you on the Doomsday Machine’s trail. Leviathan at level 28 then sends you after the Doomsday creature, a planet killer heading for the Sol system. Territorial Dispute closes the band at level 30. Everything in this band finishes at warp 30 or less.

The four level 40 chains are where warp becomes the limit. A Rude Awakening needs warp 48 on three of its five parts, Hidden Agendas (which picks up after Leviathan) needs warp 45 to 53, and Take the Conn goes as far as warp 70. Dead Memories is the gentlest of the four, topping out at warp 40.

Original Series arc rewards worth chasing

TOS James T. Kirk shards come from Now and Then, with 4 in Part 4 and 6 in Part 10, plus 2 in Doomsday Part 10 and 2 each in A Rude Awakening Parts 1 and 2. Most of the TOS Spock shards are in Dead Memories, which pays 5 in Part 1 and 5 in Part 5; Doomsday Part 9 and A Rude Awakening Part 5 add 2 each.

Leviathan pays 5 TOS Pavel Chekov shards in Part 5 and 5 TOS Montgomery Scott shards in Part 10, and Hidden Agendas Part 5 pays 5 more of each. TOS Nyota Uhura shards come from Territorial Dispute Part 5 (3, whichever planet you defend) and A Rude Awakening Parts 3 and 4 (2 each). Take the Conn is the only source here for TOS Hikaru Sulu and TOS Leonard McCoy, with 4 shards of each.

Beyond shards, Now and Then pays 1,400 Ultra Recruit Tokens and a Relocation Token. The largest Parsteel drops are 19.8M in Hidden Agendas Part 2 and 19M in Dead Memories Part 4, and Hidden Agendas Part 5 adds 400 each of 4★ Common Explorer and Interceptor Parts.
