Distant Memories is a collection mission in Star Trek Fleet Command’s Progenitor storyline. You gather 4 Energy Manifolds from missions in Sirius, Axanar, Nelvana, Unroth, Jiwu’puH or Quv Qeb. The recommended level is 1 and the mission itself needs only warp 1 to start and to complete, but the missions that pay the manifolds are further out. The reward is 3,000,000 Parsteel, and finishing it unlocks Folding. The Parsteel is generous; the work is in the four other missions.

Distant Memories does not send you anywhere itself. The Energy Manifolds come from other missions in the six systems the mission names, so the real task is finding and completing four of those.
Where to get Energy Manifolds
The mission description names six systems: Sirius, Axanar, Nelvana, Unroth, Jiwu’puH and Quv Qeb. Two of the missions that pay an Energy Manifold, and are picked up in those systems, are:

Both lean heavily on Tritanium. A Culture of Relics asks for 600,000 Tritanium as a bribe and New Icarus asks for 2 million as a donation, so the manifold hunt is as much a resource cost as a travel one. You need four manifolds in total, so plan on two more missions from the other named systems as well.

Distant Memories needs warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, and the mission Daten lists no system for its objective. The warp you actually need comes from the manifold missions: 26 for A Culture of Relics and 38 for New Icarus. The recommended level is 1.

Buying Silence, the mission before this one, keeps Yursa quiet about your part in recovering the Progenitor artifact. Folding, after it, uses the Progenitor Device to find a landing zone in Carraya. Distant Memories is the gathering step between them.
Tips
Stockpile Tritanium before you chase the manifolds. The two known sources above ask for 2.6 million Tritanium between them, before counting whatever the other two missions need.
Check which manifold missions you can reach. The two listed here need warp 26 and 38, far more than the warp 1 Distant Memories shows on its own.
The Livis shards from A Culture of Relics and the Ultra Recruit Tokens from New Icarus come along for the ride, so the manifold missions are worth their own rewards too. Every other mission is listed by level on the Missionsleitfaden.
