The entry versions (levels 21 to 29) cluster in warp 13 to 19 systems, mid-range versions occupy familiar Federation territory like Andoria and Sirius, and the top versions sit in warp 110 to 150 systems. The outpost fires two energy weapons every round and adds a heavier kinetic shot on alternating rounds. A single kinetic hit lands about twice as hard as one energy shot, so the rounds where all three weapons fire are the ones your ship has to survive; save damage-mitigation abilities for those.
