Evolution is a level 56 Romulanisch mission in Star Trek Fleet Command and the follow-up to On the Origins of the Borg. The Immortal anthropologist Mokik has used data from your tour of Borg space to reverse-engineer nanoprobes, and you have to stop him. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 320 to complete. After two fights, you expend 40M Dilithium to make the nanoprobes inert. The reward is 35,000 Officer XP, 202,500,000 Tritanium, 800 Romulan Credits and 2,900,000 Romulan Points.
Evolution objectives
Mokik’s colleague Torian says he has stopped coming to the lab since the tour and cannot be reached. Before you can search, a distress signal comes in from Kiyratari, and you arrive to find wreckage and an assimilated ship in Immortal space.
- Respond to the distress call. Location: Kiyratari.
- Defeat the assimilated ship. Location: Kiyratari.
- Find Mokik. Location: Erendari.
- Stop Mokik. Location: Erendari.
- Expend 40M Dilithium to render the nanoprobes inert.
Mokik contacts you, thanks you for helping the Immortals reach synthesis, and invites you to Erendari. There he explains that he is not Borg but the next step in Immortal evolution, and that he plans to assimilate the Romulans with his own nanoprobes. After his ship is destroyed, the wreckage still holds active nanoprobes, and Torian suggests a large quantity of Dilithium will neutralise them. There is no choice split.

You can accept Evolution at warp 1, with no pickup system listed. Completing it needs warp 320. The distress call and the first fight are in Kiyratari, Mokik is in Erendari, and the Dilithium step has no location. The recommended level is 56.

Both pay 800 Romulan Credits. Evolution costs fewer Federation Points, 3,897,600 against 5,846,400, but it is the one with the fights and the Dilithium cost.
Tips
Have 40M Dilithium ready before you reach Erendari. It is the last objective and the mission cannot complete without it.
No enemy strength is listed for either the assimilated ship or Mokik. Both fights come before the payment, so bring a combat ship and let the recommended level of 56 guide you.
