The Heart of Science is a level 56 Klingonisch mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that closes the story of Project Qui’Tu and the Klingon Science Group. With the Kos’Karii Engine gone, K’ulass wants your help to restart the project, while Ad’otha wants you to convince him to stop. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 320 to complete. You decide whether the KSG should keep exploiting the Qui’Tu species, and either way the reward is 350 3 Hour Speed Ups, 800 Klingon Credits and 2,900,000 Klingon Points.
The Heart of Science objectives
Ad’otha argues that the rest of the KSG already see the project as dead and that K’ulass now trusts you more than any of them. She takes you back to him, and the two scientists argue in front of you: K’ulass insists nothing is impossible in Wissenschaft, and Ad’otha reminds you of the ruined planets you saw.

Leave the aliens alone
- Follow K’ulass to the Progenitor lab. Location: batlh’lI juH.
You refuse to help, calling the exploitation of the Qui’Tu immoral. Ad’otha tells K’ulass she will not follow him down that path, and he reluctantly accepts that his life’s work is over. He keeps his promise all the same and shows you the lab.
Exploit the aliens
- Follow K’ulass to the Progenitor lab. Location: batlh’lI juH.
You tell K’ulass the project is too important to abandon. Ad’otha vows to keep fighting him, and K’ulass rewards your support with access to the KSG’s restricted space.
Both paths end at the same place: a Progenitor structure whose Daten started Project Qui’Tu, which K’ulass hands over to you.

You can accept the mission at warp 1, with no pickup system listed. Completing it needs warp 320. The first objective is in Pterodasia and both paths end in batlh’lI juH, where the Progenitor lab sits. The recommended level is 56.

Tips
There is no combat and the reward does not change with the choice, so the decision is purely about the story. Any ship that can reach warp 320 can finish it.
