There Are No Second Chances is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission about a temporal anomaly in the Riktor system. It can be accepted at warp 1 but needs warp 48 to complete, taking you between Riktor and Andoria. You investigate a chroniton pulse, look for life on Andoria, destroy a Suliban scout and carry the pulse back so the loop can continue. The reward is 2,960,000 Tritanium, 592,000 Dilithium, 600 Föderation Credits and 100,000 Federation Points, at the cost of 151,200 Klingonisch Points.
There Are No Second Chances objectives
There are five objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Investigate the chroniton pulse in the Riktor system. Location: Riktor.
- Visit Riktor II to investigate the evacuation. Location: Riktor.
- Look for life on Andoria. Location: Andoria.
- Destroy the Suliban scout. Location: Andoria. Enemy strength is about 2,104,711.
- Return the chroniton pulse to Riktor for the loop to continue. Location: Riktor.
The first two steps are both in Riktor, where the chroniton pulse and the evacuation of Riktor II set up the mystery. You then cross to Andoria, where the Suliban scout is the only fight. The last step takes the pulse back to Riktor, so the mission ends where it began.

You can accept the mission at warp 1, but it needs warp 48 to complete. Riktor and Andoria are the only two systems involved, and you travel between them twice.
The game lists a recommended level of 1, which does not reflect the mission at all. The Suliban scout is listed at about 2,104,711 strength and the trip is warp 48, so those two numbers are the real requirement.

The negative Klingon Points figure is a loss applied when the mission completes. Finishing it unlocks the next mission in the story, No Recollection.

There Are No Second Chances has one fight instead of three, and that fight matches the strongest target from The Death of Andoria. If you cleared that mission, this one is well within reach.
Tips
Check your warp before you accept. Warp 48 covers both systems, and the mission bounces between them, so a ship short on range will stall at the Andoria step.
Bring a combat ship with a margin over 2.1 million strength for the Suliban scout. It is the only fight, and nothing else in the mission tests your ship.
Weigh the faction change. You gain 100,000 Federation Points and lose 151,200 Klingon Points, which matters if you are building Klingon standing.
