Wire is a Klingon-aligned mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you deliver long-range scanning equipment to a Klingon-friendly warlord on Nausicaa Prime. It is picked up in Ursva and needs warp 38 to start and finish. The delivery is followed by a fight with a saboteur at about 2.1 million strength. The rewards are 24,752,000 Parsteel, 500 Klingon Credits and 100,000 Klingon reputation, with Romulan and Federation losses.
Wire objectives
Es gibt zwei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:
- Deliver the equipment to Nausicaa Prime. Location: Nausicaa.
- Stop the saboteur. Location: Nausicaa. Enemy strength is roughly 2,104,711.
Both steps happen in the Nausicaa system. You drop off the scanning equipment on Nausicaa Prime, and then a saboteur turns up. Stopping it finishes the mission, and there is no return-to-station step.
Wo und welcher Warp
Wire is picked up in Ursva, which needs warp 38, and completing it also takes warp 38. A ship that reaches Ursva has the range for Nausicaa. Both objectives are in the Nausicaa system, so once you arrive there is no further travel before the fight.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. That is not the real bar. The saboteur at over 2.1 million strength is a serious fight, and it is what decides whether you can finish.
Wire rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 24,752,000 |
| Klingon Credits | 500 |
| Klingon Points | 100,000 |
| Romulanisch Punkte | -128,000 |
| Föderation Punkte | -48,000 |
Wire does not unlock a follow-up mission.
The Parsteel is the bulk of the value at nearly 25 million. On the faction side you gain 100,000 Klingon reputation but lose 128,000 Romulan and 48,000 Federation reputation, so the net change across all three is negative. It suits players who are committed to the Klingonen.
The other Ursva mission
Ursva also hands out Schweigen, with the same warp 38 range:
| Mission | What you do | Kosten | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draht | Deliver equipment to Nausicaa Prime, stop the saboteur (~2,104,711) | Keine | 24,752,000 Parsteel, 500 Klingon Credits, 100,000 Klingon Points |
| Schweigen | Track a transmission on Kronos, pay the Klingon Magistrate, investigate Urtan in Ursva | 50M Parsteel | 12 3★ Seltene Refined Crystal, 60 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal |
The two Missionen pair up neatly. Silence costs 50M Parsteel and has no fight; Wire has a hard fight and pays back almost half that Parsteel. If you run both, the Parsteel from Wire goes a good way toward the Silence payment.
Tips
Bring your strongest combat ship. The saboteur appears right after the delivery, so the ship that carries the equipment is the one that has to fight.
Arrive fully repaired. There is only one fight, but at over 2.1 million strength, starting it damaged is the main way to lose.
Check your Romulan standing before you accept. The 128,000 Romulan Points lost is larger than the Klingon gain.
Bank the Klingon Credits if you are building Klingon standing. The 500 from this mission come alongside 100,000 Klingon Points, so Wire is a good fit for a Klingon-focused run.
