Auftrag: Dem Reich dienen

To Serve the Empire is an early Romulan faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, open to players from level 1. It starts one warp from your position, but the objective sits 13 warp out at Kaikara. You report in to the Romulanisch Star Empire and come away with Romulan Credits and Romulan reputation. It is short, and it is the first push toward standing with the Romulans.

To Serve the Empire objectives

This is a one-step mission with a single objective and no branching path:

  • Meet with the Romulan Star Empire on Kaikara Prime, in the Kaikara system.

There is no combat step in the objective, so the mission comes down to reaching Kaikara and making contact. Once you arrive and meet the representative, the mission is done. Because it is a single objective with no fights and no follow-up tasks, it is one of the quicker Missionen to close out once you make the trip.

Where and what warp

The recommended level is 1, so you can take this on almost as soon as you begin playing. The mission opens just 1 warp from where you are, which makes the start easy to reach.

Completing it is the longer trip. The objective is at Kaikara, 13 warp out, so the mission pulls you well away from the early systems. For a low-level ship that is a real distance, and it is the main thing to plan around before you accept the mission.

To Serve the Empire rewards

Completing the mission pays out:

Romulan Points raise your reputation with the Romulan Star Empire, and Romulan Credits are the currency you spend in the Romulan faction store. The Federation and Klingon figures are negative, so the mission lowers your standing with those two factions at the same time.

Tips

The reputation trade is the part worth understanding. In Star Trek Fleet Befehl your standing with the three main factions moves in opposite directions. Earning points with one faction usually costs you points with its rivals, and this mission is a clear example: you gain Romulan reputation while losing Federation and Klingon standing.

If your plan is to work through Romulan space, unlock Romulan Offiziere, and shop the Romulan store, this mission moves you the right way, and the small Federation and Klingon losses are easy to accept. If you were counting on running Federation or Klingon content soon, factor in that it nudges you the other way first.

Early faction missions like this one are how new players start building reputation with a chosen faction. Reputation opens up faction stores and, at higher tiers, faction officers and ships, so the 50 Romulan Points here act as a first deposit toward those unlocks rather than a one-off reward.

On logistics, the 13 warp trip to Kaikara is the only real hurdle. Fuel up and check that your ship has the range to reach Kaikara and get back before you set out, so a low-level ship is not left stranded far from home.
