Retrieval is an early story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. A Yridian thief has stolen a starship, and you follow its trail across four systems, defeat the thief and bring the ship to Uopeway. It is picked up in Imgra or Fostaa, needs warp 5 to start and warp 7 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 10. The reward is 6,000 Parsteel, which is a lot for a mission at this stage.
Retrieval objectives
The story line asks you to recover a starship that was stolen by an opportunistic Yridian thief. There are five objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Go to the last known location of the starship. Location: Clytomenes.
- Follow the starship’s warp signature. Location: Collep.
- Track down the Yridian thief. Location: Yridia.
- Defeat the Yridian thief. Location: Yridia. Enemy strength is roughly 2,935.
- Bring the starship to Uopeway. Location: Súilneimhe.
Three of the five steps are travel. The only fight is the thief in Yridia, and the mission ends with a delivery to Uopeway in the Súilneimhe system.
Wo und welcher Warp
You can pick Retrieval up in Imgra or Fostaa. It needs warp 5 to start and warp 7 to finish, so a ship with warp 7 covers the whole route through Clytomenes, Collep, Yridia and Súilneimhe.
The recommended level is 10. The Yridian thief at about 2,935 strength is a modest fight for a combat ship around that level.
Retrieval rewards
The only reward is 6,000 Parsteel. The mission does not unlock a follow-up.

Among the Parsteel payers, Retrieval gives six times what Ruby Run does. The Lucia Gonzales missions are the ones to pair it with if you are collecting her shards.
Hostiles along the route
Current hostile data shows low-level neutral hostiles in the systems you pass through. Orion Traitors (levels 9 to 13) appear in Clytomenes, Collep, Imgra and Fostaa, and Takret Militia (8 to 12) in Collep, Imgra, Fostaa and Súilneimhe. Clytomenes also has Nausicaan Outlaws from level 10 to 15. None of these are required, but they are worth a stop if you are farming.
Tips
Bring a combat ship. The thief fight comes in the middle of the route, after three travel steps, so a survey ship would have to turn back for it.
Stack Retrieval with the other Imgra and Fostaa missions. Most of them need warp 5 to 8, the same range this mission uses.
Spend the 6,000 Parsteel on early station upgrades, where Parsteel is the main cost. Other missions are on the Missionsleitfaden.
