Crashlander is a level 11 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. The only survivor of a ship explosion has crash-landed his escape pod on a planet in the Maluria system and needs a ride home, but a Rigellian Captain has a different story, and you have to decide who to trust. The mission is picked up in Whinnul and needs warp 5 to start and to complete. Trusting the Rigellian Captain pays a Lucia Gonzales shard; trusting Sharpe pays 25 1★ Survey Parts.

Crashlander objectives

Two shared objectives come first:

  • Follow the distress signal. Location: Maluria.
  • Decide who to trust. This is the choice split.

Trust the Rigellian Captain

  • Defeat Sharpe. Location: Maluria. Enemy strength is roughly 2,334.
  • Return Sharpe to your Station.

Reward: 1 Lucia Gonzales shard.

Trust Sharpe

  • Defeat the Rigellian Captain. Location: Maluria. Enemy strength is roughly 1,927.
  • Bring Sharpe to Vost. Location: Maluria.

Reward: 25 1★ Survey Parts.

Where and what warp

Crashlander is picked up in Whinnul, and the game lists warp 5 to start and warp 5 to complete. Everything after the pickup happens in Maluria, except that trusting the Rigellian Captain ends with a trip back to your station.

The recommended level is 11. Both fights are small, at about 2,334 for Sharpe and 1,927 for the Rigellian Captain.

Crashlander rewards

Choice Fight Reward
Trust the Rigellian Captain Sharpe, about 2,334 1 Lucia Gonzales shard
Trust Sharpe Rigellian Captain, about 1,927 25 1★ Survey Parts

No follow-up mission is listed as unlocking from Crashlander.

Which choice to make

Pick by reward. Trusting Sharpe means the easier fight and a batch of Survey Parts for an early mining ship. Trusting the Rigellian Captain means a slightly harder fight against Sharpe and pays an officer shard instead.

Lucia Gonzales is an Uncommon Command officer from the Federation’s Starfleet Academy group, and rank 1 takes 12 shards. Several early missions pay one shard each, including Know Your Enemy at level 11 and Show of Force at level 12. If you are collecting her, take the Rigellian Captain’s side here. Other single-shard sources at this level include Diamonds in the Rough at level 10 and Unhealthy Competition at level 11, both with no choice to make; here, unlike those two, the shard depends on your decision.

If your survey ship is what holds you back, 25 1★ Survey Parts go straight into its next tier, and that is the more immediate payoff.

Tips

Read the choice carefully. The option names describe who you trust, and the fight is always against the other party: trusting the Rigellian Captain means fighting Sharpe, and trusting Sharpe means fighting the Rigellian Captain.

Either fight is light for a level 11 combat ship. The difference between 2,334 and 1,927 strength should not change your decision.

Trusting Sharpe finishes in Maluria at Vost, so there is no final trip home. Trusting the Rigellian Captain ends at your station, which is handy if you want to repair or swap ships right after.
