Contact Restored

Contact Restored is an eight-part mission chain in which you, Data’s crew and your allies take the fight to the Conqueror Borg: first with a neurolytic pathogen aimed at the Borg Queen, then with modified nanoprobes, and finally with a strike on the Complex, a planet-sized Borg machine in the assimilated universe. All eight parts are recommended for level 55. The chain starts at warp 1, the first and last parts need warp 60, and the six in between need warp 320. Rewards are heavy on Parsteel (about 46.7 billion in total), with Borg Sphere Parts and Borg Cortical Subunits at the end. It is long but never hard.

  • Cover Riker’s shuttle from the Borg, in Assimilated Sirius (enemy strength ~29,678,595).
  • Escape the incoming Borg forces, in Assimilated Sol.

  • Retrieve Picard, in Benzar.
  • Return to Station.
  • Destroy the Borg Scout vessel (enemy strength ~29,678,595).
  • Reconvene with Acting Captain Saross Th’karot, in Fee’Nan.

The two choices change only the speech; the objective and rewards are identical. Warp to complete: 320.

Contact Restored Part 7

Locate the Complex to end the Conqueror Borg invasion. Picard has told you about the Complex, a planet-sized machine that copies the Sphere’s abilities, hidden in the Wolf system of the assimilated universe. You lead the allied fleet in with pathogen torpedoes.

Tips for completing Contact Restored

Every named enemy in the chain is listed at between about 28.5 million and 33.7 million strength. The toughest are the Borg Cube in Part 7 at about 32.8 million and the Complex’s auxiliary power source in Part 8 at about 33.7 million. The difficulty is the number of fights, not their size, so keep repair speed ups handy.

Stock up before you start. The chain asks for 200M Dilithium in Part 1, 50K 5★ Crystal in Part 3, 200M Dilithium in Part 4 and 50K 5★ Ore in Part 8. The Crystal and Ore payments are the ones most likely to stall you.

Six of the eight parts need warp 320, and most of that travel is in and out of the Assimilated systems. The Part 6 choice between Picard and Zefram Cochrane is purely for story, so pick whichever you prefer.

Are the Contact Restored rewards worth it?

Yes. The chain pays about 46.7 billion Parsteel, 6.3 billion Tritanium, nearly a billion Dilithium, large 5★ raw resource drops and a spread of 5★ ship parts. Part 8 adds 50 Borg Sphere Parts, 1,420 Uncommon Borg Cortical Subunits and 2 Relocation Tokens. The fights are weak for level 55, so the cost is mostly time and the two 50K 5★ payments.
