Construct Drydock D is a station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one objective: build your fourth Drydock. It starts and finishes at warp 1, the game lists a recommended level of 1, and there is no combat. The reward is 100,000 Tritanium, and completing it unlocks Upgrade Drydock D to Level 5. The real prize is the drydock itself, since a fourth drydock lets you deploy a fourth ship.
Construct Drydock D objectives
The story line asks you to build a fourth Drydock so you can deploy an additional ship for active use and station defense. There is one objective and no choice split:
- Construct Drydock D.
Nothing is flown to, fought or donated. The mission completes once Drydock D is placed and finishes building.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The whole mission happens on your station.
The recommended level is listed as 1, but Drydock D cannot be placed until you have the research it depends on, covered below. That research is the real gate.
Construct Drydock D rewards
The only reward is 100,000 Tritanium. Completing the mission also unlocks the next station mission, Upgrade Drydock D to Level 5.
What Drydock D costs and requires
Current building data lists Drydock D level 1 at 250,000 Parsteel and 100 2★ Uncommon Refined Crystal, with a build time of 1 day and 12 hours. Its requirement is the Fleet Commander research at level 3. Each drydock after the first is tied to a level of that same research:
| Drydock | Unlock requirement | Level 1 cost | Level 1 build time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drydock B | Fleet Commander 1 | 3,000 Parsteel | 30 minutes |
| Drydock C | Fleet Commander 2 | 40,000 Parsteel | 6 hours |
| Drydock D | Fleet Commander 3 | 250,000 Parsteel, 100 2★ Uncommon Refined Crystal | 1 day 12 hours |
| Drydock E | Fleet Commander 4 | 6,000,000 Parsteel, 3,000 2★ Uncommon Refined Crystal | 12 days |
A fresh drydock starts with no bonuses. Repair Cost Efficiency begins at level 2 and Repair Speed Bonus at level 5, where the building data lists it at 10%.
Where this mission sits in the station sequence
| Order | Mission | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Earlier | Upgrade Shipyard: Level 28 | 600,000 Tritanium |
| Earlier | Upgrade Parsteel Warehouse to Level 27 | 100,000 Tritanium, 2 × 15 Minute Repair Speed Up |
| Before | Upgrade Operations to Level 29 | 1,750,000 Tritanium, 3 × 15 Minute Repair Speed Up |
| This mission | Construct Drydock D | 100,000 Tritanium |
The mission appears in the station sequence late, after Operations 29, even though the drydock itself can be built as soon as Fleet Commander 3 is researched.
Compared with the other drydock missions
Construct Drydock B pays 120 Tritanium and one 1 Minute Repair Speed Up. Construct Drydock C pays 2,500 Tritanium and two 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups. At 100,000 Tritanium, Drydock D pays the most of the three by a wide margin.
Tips
Research Fleet Commander 3 early. An extra drydock means an extra ship out mining, fighting or defending, which is worth more than any mission reward at this stage.
Stock the 2★ Uncommon Refined Crystal before you start. It is the one line in the Drydock D bill that Parsteel generators will not cover.
Take Drydock D to level 5 soon after building it, so the ship assigned to it gets the repair speed bonus. All drydocks are compared on the Drydocks page, and more station missions are on the mission guide.
