Construct Drydock B is an early station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. The single objective is to build your second drydock, which lets you deploy another ship for active use and station defence. It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 120 Tritanium and one 1 Minute Repair Speed Up, and completing it unlocks the next station mission. The reward is small, but the building itself is one of the most useful early upgrades you can make.
Construct Drydock B objectives
There is one objective and no choice split:
- Construct Drydock B.
No system, hostile or donation is involved. The mission completes once Drydock B is built on your station. The game’s description of the drydocks notes that every additional drydock increases the number of ships you can deploy, which is the whole point of this upgrade.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start, warp 1 to complete, no pickup system. Everything happens on your station.
The recommended level is listed as 1. The real gate is the research requirement: Drydock B only unlocks after the Fleet Commander research reaches level 1.

What building Drydock B costs

Drydock B is by far the cheapest of the extra drydocks, at 3,000 Parsteel and a 30 minute build. Each later drydock needs a higher Fleet Commander level and costs a lot more, and the construction mission rewards grow with them.
The next step for Drydock B is cheap too. Building data lists level 2 at 3,250 Parsteel with a build time of about three minutes, though it does ask for Operations 7, so plan the Operations upgrade alongside it.
Tips
Build Drydock B as soon as the Fleet Commander research allows it. A second deployed ship means you can mine and fight at the same time, and the cost is low at this stage.
Once it is built, the drydock gets its own upgrade missions. Upgrade Drydock B to Level 2 pays 250 Tritanium and three 1 Minute Repair Speed Ups, more than this construction mission does.
Keep the Tritanium for the next few station upgrades. Construction and upgrade missions like this one pay it out in small amounts, and they add up across the early game.
