Construct Drydock C

Construct Drydock C is a station-building mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with a single objective: build your third drydock. It runs at warp 1 from start to finish, because nothing happens outside your station, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The mission reward is small, 2,500 Tritanium and 2 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups, and finishing it unlocks the next mission in the chain. The drydock itself is the real prize.

Construct Drydock C objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Construct Drydock C. Location: your station.

The mission’s story line explains why it matters: you build a third drydock so you can deploy an additional ship for active use and station defense. There is no travel, no fight and no donation attached. Whatever the Drydock C building costs is the whole effort, and the mission completes when the building does.

Where and what warp

Warp is 1 to start and 1 to complete, so the mission never asks your ships to leave. The listed recommended level is 1. In practice the only requirement that matters is being able to construct Drydock C at your station.

Tritanium 2,500
5 Minute Repair Speed Up 2

Completing it also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Why this mission is worth doing

On the reward table alone, Construct Drydock C is one of the lightest missions in the game. Two 5 minute repair speed ups add up to ten minutes of repair time, and 2,500 Tritanium is a top-up rather than a stockpile.

The reason to care is the objective. The story line spells it out: a third drydock means an additional ship you can deploy, for active use and for defending your station. Going from two drydocks to three is a direct increase in what your station can field at once, and this mission is simply the marker for reaching that step.

Because the mission and the building complete together, there is no separate work to plan. If Drydock C is already on your build list, the mission reward comes along for free.

Tips

Put Drydock C high on your build order when it becomes available. The mission rewards are minor, but the building gives you another active ship, and that is worth more than anything on the reward table.

Use the repair speed ups right away. Two 5 minute repair speed ups are too small to save for a big fight, so they are best spent clearing a short repair on a ship that is sitting damaged in dock.

Have a ship ready for the new slot. Since the whole point of Drydock C is deploying one more ship, it helps to know which hull you plan to put there before the construction finishes.

The neighbouring drydock missions are Construct Drydock B and Construct Drydock D. The drydocks page covers the buildings themselves, and every other mission by level is on the mission guide.
