Breakthrough is a five-part mission chain in Star Trek Fleet Command about a missing scientist, Rendiga Dabat, and the discovery she made before she vanished. Every part is recommended for level 25. It opens when you collect Captain Pike from the Enterprise at Risa, runs through Klingon and Orion space, then Rigel and Augment space before you bring Rendiga back to Risa. The furthest part needs warp 18. Along the way you earn four kinds of 3★ ship parts, 435,000 Parsteel and 10,000 Dilithium. It is a combat-heavy chain, and the fights stay small for the level.

Tips for completing Breakthrough
Plan for warp 17 to 18 on four of the five parts. Part 3 is the exception at warp 10, because it never leaves Rigel. A ship that can make warp 18 covers the whole chain.
Each part has at least one fight, and most of them are hostile counts rather than named targets: 4 hostiles of level 25 or higher in Part 1, 3 ships in Orion, 3 hostiles twice in Rigel, 3 in Lydan and then 5 more in Lydan for the finale. The two named Klingon ships in Parts 1 and 2 are listed at about 44,000 to 45,000 strength, which makes them the biggest single fights here. Repair between parts so you are not starting a batch of hostiles damaged.
Part 5 ends back at Risa, so the last leg is a long return trip from Lydan. The chain rewards come from ship parts for four different hull types (Battleship, Survey, Explorer and Interceptor), which is useful if you run more than one ship class. Other missions sorted by level are on the STFC mission guide.
Are the Breakthrough rewards worth it?
For a level 25 commander, yes. The 435,000 Parsteel from Part 1 is the biggest single payout, and the chain adds 440 3★ ship parts spread across four hull types, 64,000 Tritanium, 61,000 Officer XP and 10,000 Dilithium. The fights are modest, and the main cost is the travel at warp 17 to 18. The 100 Ship XP at the end is small, so treat Part 5 as the step that closes the story and pays out the Dilithium.
