Bait and Switch is a Romulan-leaning story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you seek out and destroy incriminating evidence. It can be accepted at warp 1, needs warp 17 to complete, and has a recommended level of 1. You meet Nausicaan forces in Nabok, find an investigator base in Priya, destroy a Starfleet guard and make sure the evidence on Vayuoaf is gone. The reward is 500 3★ Common Refined Gas, 9 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups and Romulan reputation, at a cost to your Federation standing.
Bait and Switch objectives
There are four objectives, in order, with no choice split:
- Meet with Nausicaan forces in Nabok. Location: Nabok.
- Find the investigator base in Priya. Location: Priya.
- Destroy the Starfleet guard. Location: Priya. Enemy strength is roughly 54,559.
- Ensure that the evidence is destroyed on Vayuoaf. Location: Priya.
The mission is a short two-system run. It opens with a meeting in Nabok, then moves to Priya for the rest. There you find the investigator base, deal with the Starfleet guard at around 54,559 strength, and finish by making sure the evidence on Vayuoaf is destroyed. The guard is the only fight.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed, and warp 1 is enough to accept the mission. Warp 17 is needed to complete it, with objectives in Nabok and Priya. The recommended level is 1, but the Starfleet guard at about 54,559 strength is the step that decides when you can finish.

Completing the mission also unlocks the next one in the storyline.
Tips
Bring a combat ship. The Starfleet guard in Priya sits at roughly 54,559 strength, and the final objective cannot be reached until it is destroyed.
Stay in Priya once you arrive. Three of the four objectives are in that system, so after the Nabok meeting the rest of the mission happens in one place.
Check the reputation change first. You gain 800 Romulan Points and 80 Romulan Credits, but you lose 442 Federation Points. If you are building Federation standing, that loss is worth weighing before you commit.
The 500 3★ Common Refined Gas is the bulk of the reward. It goes toward any upgrade on your list that asks for 3★ refined gas, and 500 is a large amount of it for a four-step mission.
Use the repair speed ups on the guard fight. The 9 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups add up to 2 hours and 15 minutes of repair time.
