Arms Race is a level 62 Klingon mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which a Klingon named Beshkul sends you to steal Federation weapon blueprints for his Great House. You pick it up in Xenoti and need warp 1,000 to start and to finish. The route runs through Solas Astra and Gratia-3, with a fight in each. The reward is 5,170,000,000 Tritanium and 24 15 Minute Σ-Repair Speed Ups, plus Klingon Credits and faction points. For raw Tritanium it is the best of the Xenoti missions.
Arms Race objectives
Beshkul wants the plans for a new Federation weapon he calls the Void Hit Thing, and threatens you with his fleet if you refuse. There are five objectives in order, with no choice split:
- Intercept the research vessel. Location: Solas Astra.
- Defeat the guarding ship. Location: Solas Astra (enemy strength ~3,367,690,171).
- Find the stolen blueprints. Location: Gratia-3.
- Retrieve the stolen blueprints. Location: Gratia-3 (enemy strength ~2,618,077,029).
- Deliver the blueprints. Location: Xenoti.
In Solas Astra the Federation research vessel refuses to hand anything over and calls a guard ship. After that fight, the researchers explain that their lab was raided and every recent blueprint and prototype stolen. One device carried a tracker, and its signal points to Gratia-3.
In Gratia-3 the signal comes from a Romulan cruiser, which you disable to recover the stolen devices and plans. None of them is named Void Hit Thing. Back in Xenoti, your officer reads the label Beshkul was so sure about: it says avoid overheating, on a blueprint for a Sehlat animatronic built for a theme park. Beshkul takes it badly but lets you go.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Xenoti and needs warp 1,000 to start and to complete. The work happens in Solas Astra and Gratia-3, and you return to Xenoti for the hand-in. The recommended level is 62.

Love Me Not needs a 20B Parsteel donation, while Arms Race asks for nothing but travel and two fights.
Tips
The guard ship in Solas Astra is the harder fight at about 3.37 billion strength. The Romulan cruiser in Gratia-3 is lighter at about 2.62 billion, so if your ship clears the first battle it should handle the second.
Repair between the fights if you need to. The 24 repair speed ups only arrive at the end, but the Gratia-3 fight comes after a warp jump, which gives you a natural point to top up hull.
The 5.17 billion Tritanium is the draw. The faction points add 114 million Klingon reputation but cost about 226 million Romulan and 85 million Federation reputation, so check faction reputation before you commit to a run of Klingon missions. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
