A Trojan Effort objectives

- Force the hacker to remove the virus from the Station.
- Hand over the hacker to Starfleet security. Location: Alpha Centauri.
The hacker is in Altair, and disabling their ship is the only fight. With the virus removed, you deliver the hacker to Starfleet security in Alpha Centauri, which ends the mission.

Auto Destruct is the investigation and asks for Dilithium. A Trojan Effort is the confrontation and asks for a fight instead. Both pay the same Federation credits and points.
Tips
Bring a combat ship to Altair. The hacker’s ship is the only enemy, but at roughly 910,378 strength it needs a properly crewed fighter.
Plan for the trip to Alpha Centauri. The mission ends there rather than at your Station, so you will be out in space when it completes.
