A Shattered Blade is a level 61 Romulan faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. A Tal Shiar agent sends you to infiltrate the Order of the Bat’leth and kill General Gor’tas, one of its founders. You pick it up in Digali, need warp 900 to start and warp 1,000 to complete, and there is no choice split. The payout is 1,170,000,000 Dilithium, 188,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium and 3,600 Romulan Credits, plus a large Romulan Points gain.
A Shattered Blade objectives
- Meet with the Tal Shiar agent. Location: Yunii.
- Infiltrate the Order of the Bat’leth. Location: Buyq’eal.
- Prove yourself by defeating 15 hostiles of level 61 or higher.
- Meet with General Gor’tas. Location: Petra.
- Assassinate General Gor’tas. Location: Petra (enemy strength about 2,618,077,029).
The agent sees Gor’tas as the real power in the Order, even though the Chancellor leads it on paper. With Gor’tas gone, the agent expects Gowron to take full control and run the Order into the ground. Gor’tas rarely leaves the Order’s base, so the plan is to get inside. The Order sometimes lets an Independent join if they survive a gauntlet, which is what the 15 kills are. Once you pass, a warrior brings you to Petra to meet the general in person, and the last objective is the assassination itself. The agent closes by noting that nothing ties the killing to the Empire.

The mission is picked up in Digali. It needs warp 900 to start and warp 1,000 to complete, and the route runs from Yunii to Buyq’eal and then to Petra, where the mission ends. The recommended level is 61.

Fruits of Discipline shares the Digali pickup, so the two are easy to run on the same trip.
Tips
Bring a combat ship. The gauntlet asks for 15 hostiles of level 61 or higher, while Fruits of Discipline from the same pickup asks for 12 at level 60. The assassination is then a fight against a target of roughly 2.6 billion strength, so arrive in Petra with a repaired ship.
Mind the reputation cost. The mission adds 104 million Romulan Points but removes about 152 million Federation Points and 101 million Klingon Points. If you are trying to stay on good terms with the Klingon side, read up on faction reputation before you commit to a run of Romulan missions.
