The Latinum transwarp cell systems

Yoria-3 is the first of three Latinum systems, each locked behind its own transwarp cell. All three need warp 22, hold one Raw Latinum node of the same size and rate, and have one Assimilated Ferengi Miner matched to the system’s level. The cell grade and the Latinum per kill go up together.

System Level Entry cost Ferengi Miner level Raw Latinum per kill
Yoria-3 25 1 Uncommon Latinum Transwarp Cell 25 1,125 to 1,376
Torra Sedra 28 1 Rare Latinum Transwarp Cell 28 4,500 to 5,501
Zed Alpha 31 1 Epic Latinum Transwarp Cell 31 9,000 to 11,001

Each of the three asks for a different cell grade, so an Uncommon cell gets you into Yoria-3 but not Torra Sedra or Zed Alpha. Other gated systems use unrelated cells, such as the Rogue Transwarp Cell for Mitchum and the G5 Dominion Transwarp Cell for Hox.

Assimilated Ferengi Miner in Yoria-3

The only hostile in Yoria-3 is a level 25 Assimilated Ferengi Miner, a Borg survey ship with a strength of 1,406,677. Each kill drops 1,125 to 1,376 Raw Latinum, so it is worth shooting on every visit alongside the mine.

Watch its heaviest weapon. The Miner carries a kinetic gun that hits for 1,173,913 to 1,434,783 damage, but it has a 10-round warm-up and then fires every 10 rounds. A ship that wins the fight inside 10 rounds never takes that shot, so bring enough damage to finish it quickly.

Mining in Yoria-3

Resource Nodes Base rate per hour Node size
Raw Latinum 1 95 470,000

Up to 10 mining nodes can be active in Yoria-3 at once. The single node is the draw: faction Latinum systems at the same level, like Cillers and S’mtharz, have eight nodes, but seven of them mine at 32 per hour and every node there holds 82,000. The Yoria-3 node mines about three times faster and holds 470,000. For what Latinum buys, see the Latinum guide.

Is Yoria-3 worth the trip?

If you have an Uncommon Latinum Transwarp Cell, yes. You get a fast Raw Latinum node, only one hostile in the system and a Ferengi Miner that adds more than a thousand Latinum per kill. Once you have Rare or Epic cells, Torra Sedra and Zed Alpha pay far more Latinum per kill for the same warp 22.
