Wavering Faith is a level 62 Klingon mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Priest Xankej of the Boreth Monastery has heard that a historian found proof that Kahless never slew Molor, and he wants you along when he meets the historian on Kronos. You pick it up in Petra and need warp 1,000 to start and to finish. There are two fights, the second at about 3.5 billion strength. The reward is 1,500 Trait XP, 191,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel and 3,600 Klingon Credits.
Wavering Faith objectives
There are five objectives across two systems, and no choice split:
- Visit the Kahless temple. Location: Kronos.
- Reach the archives. Location: Kronos.
- Protect Priest Xankej. Location: Kronos (enemy strength about 2,618,077,029).
- Bring the priest to the Rth’aLanam system. Location: Rth’aLanam.
- Defeat the ship of Kot’baval Orden. Location: Rth’aLanam (enemy strength about 3,534,007,028).
The historian, Tsogh, says he is being hunted for his research. At the archives he explains that he found what he believes is Molor’s hand, identified by a unique ring, in the Rth’aLanam system, and then he is killed mid-sentence. You beam Xankej aboard and fight off the Klingon ship closing in. Xankej recognizes it as belonging to the Kot’baval Orden, an order of zealots, so you race them to Rth’aLanam before they can destroy the remains. After their ship falls, Xankej decides to stay behind and search for the truth himself.
Where and what warp
The pickup is Petra. The first three objectives are on Kronos and the last two in Rth’aLanam. Warp 1,000 is needed both to start and to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 62.

Wavering Faith is the only one of the three that pays Trait XP.
Tips
Save your strength for the end. The Kronos fight is listed at about 2.6 billion strength, but the Kot’baval Orden ship in Rth’aLanam is about 3.53 billion, and it is the final objective. Repair after Kronos if the first fight hurt.
The first two objectives are simple arrivals on Kronos, so the early part of the mission is quick once you are in range.
The Trait XP is the unusual part of the reward. If you are working on officer traits, this is a mission worth running for it.
