Tritanium Miner

Tritanium Miner is a level 10 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that asks you to mine 50 Tritanium and bring it back to your station for testing. It needs only warp 1 to start and to complete, and there is no fight. The reward is 4,000 Parsteel, 20 1★ Survey Parts and 50 Ship XP, and finishing it unlocks the next mission in the story. It is a first taste of mining with a ship.

Tritanium Miner objectives

The story line reads: search for some Tritanium to mine. There are two objectives and no choice split:

  • Mine 50 Tritanium.
  • Bring the Tritanium back to the station for testing.

No system is named, so any Tritanium node within reach will do. No hostile is listed and nothing is donated.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. Find a Tritanium node close to your station, mine 50, and return.

The recommended level is 10. The only requirement is a ship that can mine and a Tritanium node within range.

Tritanium Miner rewards

Reward Amount
Parsteel 4,000
1★ Survey Parts 20
Ship XP 50

Completing the mission also unlocks Breakthrough, the next level 10 mission in the story.

Breakthrough is a station step: construct Dilithium Generator A, for 5,000 Parsteel and 10 Dilithium. So this stretch of the story moves from mining Tritanium by hand to building your first Dilithium production.

Where it sits in the story

The mission before this one is Refactor, a level 10 warp 1 mission that pays 10,000 Parsteel. Tritanium Miner pays less Parsteel but adds Survey Parts and Ship XP. After Breakthrough, the story continues with Stockpiling Dilithium, another level 10 mission.

Tips

Use a survey ship if you have one. The 20 1★ Survey Parts from this mission go toward upgrading that same ship type, so the mining run and the reward fit together.

Fifty Tritanium is a small load, so the mining takes little time. Return straight to the station afterward to finish.

Other missions around this level are on the mission guide, including Stockpiling Dilithium.
