Those Left Behind is an auto-start mission in Borg Arc 2 that walks you through all three major factions before sending you into Romulan space to look at wreckage. Five objectives, no combat, and warp 18 to finish. It pays 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens and opens A Path to Carnage.
Those Left Behind objectives
Five objectives, in this order, with no choice split and no fighting anywhere in the mission.
- Meet with the Federation. Location: Lorillia, a level 18 Federation system.
- Meet with the Klingon Empire. Location: Krah’Hor, a level 18 Klingon system.
- Try to meet with the Romulan Empire. Location: Kaikara, a level 18 Romulan system.
- Investigate Romulan space. Location: Posel, a level 23 Romulan system.
- Scan the debris. Location: Posel.
The Romulans never actually show up, which is what the fourth objective is about. The last two objectives share a system, so once you arrive at Posel you finish both without moving again.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start, warp 18 to complete. The mission auto-starts, so it appears in your log on its own rather than waiting for you to pick it up somewhere.
The three faction meetings sit at warp 13. Posel is the stretch: warp 18, and the last two objectives both happen there. If your warp research tops out below 18 you can clear the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan stops and then sit on the Posel leg until you can reach it.
System levels are not the obstacle here. Lorillia, Krah’Hor, and Kaikara are all level 18, and Posel is level 23, but nothing in the mission asks you to fight, so the only real gate is how far your ship can jump.
Those Left Behind rewards
500 Romulan Recruit Tokens. Clearing the mission also advances Borg Arc 2 and unlocks A Path to Carnage.
Recruit tokens go toward Romulan faction recruiting, and a 500-token payout for a mission with no combat in it is one of the easier ways to top up that balance. Nothing else drops here, so treat the tokens and the arc progression as the whole return.
Tips
Get your warp research to 18 before you start the trip. Everything before Posel is reachable at 13, and it is annoying to cross Federation, Klingon, and Romulan territory only to stall on the final two objectives.
Take a fast ship, not a strong one. There is no combat in any of the five objectives, so survey ships and other low-value hulls work fine. Krah’Hor and Kaikara are rival territory, so send something you would not mind losing to another player rather than a ship you rely on for mining.
Plan the route as one loop. The mission crosses three faction regions and then heads out to Posel, and doing it in one continuous run beats returning to your station between stops. Repair before you leave, because the only thing that can stop you mid-mission is somebody else’s fleet.
Hold the tokens until you have a reason to spend them. Recruit tokens keep in your inventory, so there is no penalty for banking 500 of them until a Romulan officer you actually want is worth chasing.
