The Kumari is a ship-building mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. The story line asks you to research the ship, collect its blueprints and build it in the shipyard, and the single objective is to build the Kumari. It starts and finishes at warp 1, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, the same as the Vahklas mission before it, and it is worth claiming as soon as the ship is buildable.

The Kumari objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Build the Kumari.

No system is named and there is no fight. The mission completes when a Kumari finishes building in your shipyard.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start, warp 1 to complete, and no pickup system. Everything happens on your station.

The recommended level is listed as 1. The ship’s build requirements are the real gate, and they are covered below.

The Kumari rewards

Reward Amount
Ultra Recruit Token 400

Completing it unlocks the next build mission, The Horizon.

What building the Kumari takes

Current ship data lists these build requirements:

Requirement Value
Blueprints 60
Shipyard level 24
Research One research project at level 1
Build cost 880,000 Tritanium, 35,000 Dilithium
Build time 10d 10h

The Kumari is a grade 3 Independent Battleship. Its ability, Shield Disruptor, raises its Shield Piercing when the opponent is an Explorer, from 10% at ship level 1 up to 60% at level 45. At tier 9 it has 30,020 hull HP with 3,858 armor, a warp range of 34 and 42,000 cargo.

In the ship’s own description, the Kumari is an Andorian battle cruiser class named after the Imperial Guard ship that helped Earth during the Xindi crisis in 2153, and so many were built that older models are still common.

How it compares with the other Independent builds

Mission Ship type Shipyard Blueprints Build cost Reward
The Kehra Interceptor 20 40 250,000 Tritanium, 10,000 Dilithium 200 Ultra Recruit Token
The Vahklas Explorer 22 50 500,000 Tritanium, 20,000 Dilithium 400 Ultra Recruit Token
The Kumari Battleship 24 60 880,000 Tritanium, 35,000 Dilithium 400 Ultra Recruit Token

Each of the three covers a different hull type, and each ability targets another type: the Kehra gains Armor Piercing against Battleships, the Vahklas gains Accuracy against Interceptors, and the Kumari gains Shield Piercing against Explorers. The Kumari is the most expensive of the three and pays the same as the Vahklas.

Tips

Start saving Tritanium early. At 880,000 Tritanium the Kumari costs more than the Kehra and Vahklas combined, and the build takes 10 days 10 hours before the mission can complete.

Blueprints and Shipyard 24 are separate gates. Upgrading the shipyard while you collect the last blueprints saves time at the end.
