The Horizon is a ship-building mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You research the ECS Horizon, collect its blueprints and build it in the shipyard. It runs at warp 1, the game lists a recommended level of 1, and the only objective is to build the ship. The reward is 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens, the largest payout in the line of ship-building missions it belongs to.
The Horizon objectives
There is one objective and no choice split:
- Build the ECS Horizon.
The mission clears once the ECS Horizon leaves your shipyard. It is a Grade 3 Common Independent Survey ship. There is nothing to fight, travel to or donate.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. Everything happens at your Station.
The listed recommended level is 1. What really gates the mission is having the research and blueprints to build a Grade 3 ship.
The Horizon rewards
The reward is 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens. The Horizon is the last mission in this building line, so it does not unlock another one.
The Grade 3 ship-building missions
The Horizon closes out a run of four missions that each ask you to build a Grade 3 Common Independent ship:

Together the four pay 1,800 Ultra Recruit Tokens, and The Horizon alone accounts for 800 of them. Before this run, the Grade 2 missions such as The Envoy pay 150 Premium Recruit Tokens each.
Tips
Build the Horizon when you want a Grade 3 Survey ship. The 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens are a strong bonus for a build you may be planning anyway.
The line runs in order, each mission unlocking the next, so reaching The Horizon means The Kehra, The Vahklas and The Kumari are already behind you.
