The Adventures of Captain Proton! is a three-part mission chain that plays out like an episode of the Captain Proton serial: an ion storm traps Voyager, Doctor Chaotica makes his move, and you end up rescuing Admiral Janeway from him. All three parts are recommended for level 35, start at warp 1 and finish at warp 26 or 33. The chain pays three Tom Paris shards in Part 1, up to 8,000 Latinum across Parts 2 and 3, and a large Parsteel payout if you fight through the Part 2 battle. The final fight against Chaotica and the 20K 3★ Raw Crystal donation before it are the parts to prepare for.

Stop Doctor Chaotica. His trail leads from Azati to Beta Penthe, where you choose between fighting through the battle or slipping in quietly. Both paths then disable a Klingon vessel and stop Chaotica.

Rescue Admiral Janeway. You take Paris to the Archives in Andoria and find Harry Kim a new outfit in Lorillia, then confront Chaotica in Beta Penthe for the final showdown.

Tips for completing The Adventures of Captain Proton!
The Part 2 choice is a clear trade. Fighting through costs time on 12 level 34 hostiles but pays 5,000 Latinum and 37,061,000 Parsteel. Avoiding the battle costs 1.1M Dilithium, which you get back as 1,091,000 Dilithium, plus 5,451,000 Tritanium and 11,500 Ship XP. Unless you are short on time, the fighting path pays far more.
Stockpile 3★ Raw Crystal before Part 3. The 20K donation to disrupt Chaotica’s holograms is large, and the part only returns 2,500.
Chaotica himself, at about 2 million strength, is more than twice as strong as any earlier enemy in the chain. Clear the 14-hostile sweep, repair, and then take him on with your best ship. Warp 33 covers every part.
Are The Adventures of Captain Proton! rewards worth it?
Yes, especially if you are working on Tom Paris. The chain pays three of his shards, 8,000 Latinum and 43,746,000 Parsteel on the fighting route in Part 2, plus 3★ parts and crystal.
