Showdown is a level 80 Romulan mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where things come to a head for the Order. You pick it up in Sotunei, and it needs warp 6,000 to start and to finish, with every objective in Kúshlah. There are two fights in the 550 to 570 trillion strength range and a 125K Σ-Dilithium donation. The payout is 370,000 Σ-Dilithium, 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens, 2,700 Σ-Romulan Credits and a large swing in Romulan Points. It is one of the hardest single missions in the Margins, and one of the better paid.
Showdown objectives
There are seven objectives in a fixed order and no choice split. Everything after the pickup happens in the same system:
- Proceed to the base. Location: Kúshlah.
- Answer the hail. Location: Kúshlah.
- Defend the Order. Location: Kúshlah (enemy strength about 568.5 trillion).
- Donate 125K Σ-Dilithium.
- Defeat the Zhat Vash. Location: Kúshlah (enemy strength about 550.1 trillion).
- Retrieve Kotoma. Location: Kúshlah.
- Return to base. Location: Kúshlah.
The first fight comes right after you answer the hail, when the Order’s base comes under attack. The donation sits between the two battles, so have the Σ-Dilithium in hand before you start or the mission stalls in the middle. Once the Zhat Vash are beaten you recover Kotoma and head back to the base to close it out.
Where and what warp
Showdown is picked up in Sotunei. Warp to start and warp to complete are both 6,000, the highest warp band in this part of the storyline, so a ship that can reach Sotunei can finish the whole mission. The recommended level is 80.
Because all seven steps take place in Kúshlah, there is no running between systems once you arrive. The real test is surviving two fights back to back without a trip home to repair.
Showdown rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Σ-Dilithium | 370,000 |
| Romulan Recruit Token | 500 |
| Σ-Romulan Credits | 2,700 |
| Romulan Points | +34,800,000,000 |
| Federation Points | -40,700,000,000 |
| Klingon Points | -19,100,000,000 |
| Gravimetric Data | 1 |
After the 125K donation you come out 245,000 Σ-Dilithium ahead. The reputation lines move the other way for the Federation and the Klingons, and the Federation loss is larger than the Romulan gain.
How Showdown compares with other level 80 missions
| Mission | Pickup | Warp | Fights | Main rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Showdown | Sotunei | 6,000 | 2 | 370,000 Σ-Dilithium, 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens, 2,700 Σ-Romulan Credits |
| Home Sweet Home | Giziohn | 6,000 | 1 on one path | 418,000 Σ-Dilithium, 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 3,100 Σ-Federation Credits |
| Artifice | Hodozia | 6,000 | 2 | 270,000 Σ-Tritanium, 4,050,000 7★ Raw Gas, 345,000 7★ Broken Explorer Parts |
Home Sweet Home is the Federation counterpart at the same level and warp, and it pays slightly more Σ-Dilithium with less fighting. Artifice pays no faction points at all, so it is the one to run if you want to avoid the reputation swing.
Tips
Repair fully before you answer the hail. The two enemies are close in strength, and the donation between them does not give you a pause to go home, since the Zhat Vash objective is also in Kúshlah.
Keep at least 125K Σ-Dilithium banked. The mission pays it back almost three times over, but it cannot be completed without it.
Think about the reputation hit. A 40.7 billion drop in Federation Points is a lot if you are also working the Federation side of the Margins. The faction reputation guide covers what those points unlock, and the Romulan faction page covers the side you are helping here.
The Gravimetric Data counts toward the station missions that ask you to collect it from missions in the Margins or the Veil. The Order’s story starts much earlier in the Margins chain, and every other mission by level is on the mission guide.
