Riddles & Miscommunications is a level 51 main storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one objective: upgrade your R&D Department to level 50. It needs only warp 1 and has no fight, but the upgrade behind it costs 149.9B Parsteel and 551.2M Dilithium. The reward is a Data shard, 12,500,000 Dilithium and 2,500 Ship XP, and finishing it unlocks There You Will Find Me.

The Treasury requirement stands out, since it is a separate building rather than another level on Operations or the Academy. Check that you have placed it before you plan the upgrade.

The missions on either side of this one need warp 185, so Riddles & Miscommunications is a station break between two long trips. There You Will Find Me pays 50 three-hour speed ups, 2,000,000 Dilithium and 2,500 Ship XP.
Tips
Start the R&D upgrade as early as you can. The build time is the only thing between you and the reward, and the mission has no other step to work on in the meantime.
