Restart is a level 70 story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you reboot Maia, your ship’s AI, by installing a new Data Core. It has a single objective, donate 1 Data Core, and it needs only warp 1 to start and to complete. The reward is 5,000 Σ-Dilithium and 239,000 Latinum. Restart sits between The Road Least Traveled and Margins Part 1, and finishing it unlocks the Margins story.
Restart objectives
Creating the quantum bubble scrambled Maia’s databanks, and Toryn has run out of ways to repair them. The only option left is to rebuild them on a fresh Data Core, even though Toryn warns that it could damage her auxiliary systems. There is one objective and no choice split:
- Donate 1 Data Core.
Once the core is installed, Maia starts up with a standard greeting, then notices a new data input source and begins recalibrating.
Where and what warp
You do not travel anywhere. Warp 1 is listed to start and to complete, there is no pickup system and no fight. The recommended level is 70.
Restart rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Σ-Dilithium | 5,000 |
| Latinum | 239,000 |
Completing Restart also unlocks the next mission, Margins Part 1.
Where Restart fits in the story
Restart is the middle step of a three-mission run that brings Maia back and then sends you into the Margins:
| Mission | What you do | Warp | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Road Least Traveled | Collect 1 Data Core | 1 | 20,000 Σ-Parsteel, 6,000 Σ-Tritanium |
| Restart | Donate 1 Data Core | 1 | 5,000 Σ-Dilithium, 239,000 Latinum |
| Margins Part 1 | Help Section 31 with a top-secret mission | 1 to start, 1,550 to complete | 159,000 Latinum, 150,000 Officer XP, 150 Premium Recruit Token |
In The Road Least Traveled, Toryn confirms Maia is not improving and asks for a new Data Core. That mission tells you to claim the Novum Initium bundle from the Gifts section to get one. Restart is where you hand that core over.
Tips
Do not spend or lose the Data Core between the two missions. Claim the Novum Initium bundle during The Road Least Traveled and keep it for Restart, since the donation is all this mission asks for. Data Cores come back later in the same arc as well: Margins Part 5 pays out 400 of them, along with Latinum, Officer XP and Ultra Recruit Tokens.
Restart can be finished the moment it appears, and it is the gate to Margins Part 1. That chain needs warp 1,550 to complete, so it is the first mission in this run that asks your ship to travel. The small Latinum and Dilithium reward is a bonus; the real value is unlocking the Margins storyline. Other missions around level 70 are on the mission guide.
