Recompense is a Federation faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help a Federation colony whose supplies were stolen in a Klingon raid, then help the Andorians. You pick it up in Thama, and it needs warp 27 to start and warp 30 to finish. There are no fights, only two trips and two donations: 800 G3 Raw Ore and 600,000 Tritanium. The game lists a recommended level of 1, and the reward is 1,467,000 Parsteel.
Recompense objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Go to the Federation colony on P’Jem. Location: P’Jem.
- Donate 800 G3 Raw Ore to the Colonists.
- Help the Andorians on Andoria Prime. Location: Andoria.
- Donate 600K Tritanium to the Andorians.
The mission falls into two halves. The first is the colony on P’Jem, where you hand over 800 G3 Raw Ore to replace what the Klingons took. The second is Andoria Prime, where the Andorians need 600,000 Tritanium. Each half is a trip followed by a donation, and nothing in the list involves combat.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Thama, which needs warp 27. Completing the mission takes warp 30. The route runs from Thama to P’Jem, then on to Andoria.
The recommended level is listed as 1. The real requirements are warp 30 range and enough raw ore and Tritanium for the two donations.
Recompense rewards
- 1,467,000 Parsteel
Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

The trade is two resources in for a larger amount of a third out. If your account is short on Parsteel and has spare Tritanium, Recompense works almost like an exchange.
Recompense and the next mission
The next step is Foresight, which needs warp 27 to complete and pays 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 300 Federation Credits and 23,000 Federation Points. It costs some Klingon and Romulan standing, while Recompense itself has no faction point swing in its rewards. Finishing Recompense is what opens it.
Tips
Gather the raw ore before you set out. The G3 Raw Ore donation is the first thing asked of you at P’Jem, so mine it or collect it ahead of time. If your warehouse is short, the mission waits there until you can pay.
Check your Tritanium too. The 600,000 Tritanium donation to the Andorians is the larger of the two costs, and it is the final step, so running short at the end leaves the mission one step from done.
Send any ship with the range. With no hostiles listed, a survey ship or spare hull with warp 30 can run the whole mission, which keeps your combat ship free.
