Reciprocation is a Federation story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you defend against the Klingon retaliation for the assault on the Kal’Hyah ceremony. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 170 to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but warp 170, a 33M Tritanium donation and Grenon at roughly 7,227,080 power are what you actually need to plan for. The reward is 27 4★ Rare Refined Gas and 100 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas, and finishing it unlocks Right of Vengeance.
Reciprocation objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Respond to the distress signal from the Federation Officer. Location: New Reykjavik.
- Donate 33M Tritanium to repair the defense platforms of the outpost.
- Investigate reports of Klingon hostiles in Caelum. Location: Caelum.
- Defeat Grenon. Location: Caelum. Enemy strength is roughly 7,227,080.
You answer the distress call at New Reykjavik and donate 33M Tritanium to repair the outpost’s defense platforms. The mission then moves to Caelum, where Grenon is the one fight.
Where and what warp
Reciprocation is available from warp 1 but needs warp 170 to complete. New Reykjavik and Caelum are the two named systems.
The recommended level is listed as 1, which does not reflect the mission. Warp 170 is a very long range, and Grenon at about 7.2 million power needs a strong ship.
Reciprocation rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| 4★ Rare Refined Gas | 27 |
| 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas | 100 |
Completing the mission also unlocks the next one in the storyline, Right of Vengeance.
Reciprocation pays no faction credits or reputation, unlike the missions before it. The whole payout is refined gas.
How it fits the storyline
| Mission | Warp to complete | Main fight | Main rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Formal Introduction | 120 | None | 50 1 Hour Speed Ups, 10 1 Hour Repair Speed Ups, Federation rewards |
| Kal’Hyah | 160 | Captain K’Tragh, about 5,867,534 | 175,500,000 Parsteel, 800 4★ Common Battleship Parts, Federation rewards |
| A Word of Discouragement | 120 | Gorn or Corvallen guard, about 7.4 to 7.5 million | 900 4★ Common ship parts, Federation rewards |
| Reciprocation | 170 | Grenon, about 7,227,080 | 27 4★ Rare Refined Gas, 100 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas |
Formal Introduction opens this storyline, and A Word of Discouragement comes directly before Reciprocation. Reciprocation has the highest warp requirement of the group, but Grenon is slightly weaker than the guards in A Word of Discouragement.
A close match in another storyline
This Fire Burns has almost the same structure from the Klingon side: a 25M Tritanium donation to ready a planet’s defenses, a fight at about 7,414,271, and a reward of 28 4★ Rare plus 100 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas. Reciprocation asks for 8M more Tritanium and pays one fewer 4★ Rare Refined Gas.
Tips
Bank the 33M Tritanium before you reach New Reykjavik. The donation is the second step, and the rest of the mission waits on it.
Use the ship that beat the guards in A Word of Discouragement. Grenon is slightly weaker than either of them. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
