Rally for the Margins is a level 70 neutral mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about an anti-refugee rally in Alvolea that turns violent. You pick it up in Otralitea, warp 1,550 covers the start and the finish, and every step after pickup happens in Alvolea. After the first objective you pick a side, and each side pays differently: defending the rally gives Officer XP and Ultra Recruit Tokens, while joining the protesters gives Σ-Tritanium and Latinum. Both paths include one fight and 1 Gravimetric Data.
Rally for the Margins objectives
Two locals in Otralitea argue about the refugees, and Maia suggests visiting the rally. Every player starts with the same objective:
- Attend the meeting in Alvolea.
- Decide what to do.
The host, Selyr, tells the crowd the Aeolian colonies can no longer take in refugees, including people fleeing the Surgewalkers. Travis and his fellow protesters accuse her of stirring up violence against refugees. When she calls security, the protesters charge weapons and the security ship moves to intercept. Maia asks you which way to go.
Defend the meeting attendants
- Reason with the protesters in Alvolea.
- Defeat the hostile ship in Alvolea (enemy strength ~4,314,618,503,236).
- Speak with the meeting host in Alvolea.
Travis refuses to stand down and opens fire on the security ships, so you destroy his ship. Selyr thanks you afterwards, then lets slip that the crowd will be easier to sway after the protesters’ attack.
Rewards: 2,800 Σ-Dilithium, 145,000 Officer XP, 400 Ultra Recruit Token and 1 Gravimetric Data.
Join the protesters
- Reason with the meeting host in Alvolea.
- Defeat the hostile ship in Alvolea (enemy strength ~4,314,618,503,236).
- Speak with the protesters in Alvolea.
Selyr calls you the aggressor and her security ship charges weapons. Once it retreats she flees, and Travis uses her broadcast frequency to tell the crowd she abandoned them. The rally breaks up.
Rewards: 7,000 Σ-Tritanium, 2,800 Σ-Dilithium, 154,000 Latinum and 1 Gravimetric Data.
Where and what warp
The mission starts in Otralitea with warp 1,550, and the same warp is enough to complete it. After the pickup you only need to reach Alvolea. The recommended level is 70.

Tips
Choose by what you are short of. Officer XP and Ultra Recruit Tokens help if your crew needs levels, while Latinum and Σ-Tritanium suit players saving for station and ship upgrades (see Latinum and Tritanium).
The fight is the same size on either path, about 4.3 trillion strength, so combat difficulty should not decide your choice. A ship that clears level 70 hostiles comfortably will manage.
If story matters more to you than rewards, neither side comes out looking clean. Selyr hints she will use the violence to win over her crowd, and Travis starts the shooting on the first path.
