Q Where? is a ten-part mission chain that begins with escorting Vash to Veridian I and turns into a search for Q Junior after trouble at the Nexus. Along the way you recruit Romi, face Borg ships near the El-Aurian homeworld and follow a broker’s lead into Klingon space. All ten parts are recommended for level 38 and start at warp 1, with finishes from warp 1 up to warp 48. Rewards include shards for three Q officers (two Mariachi Q, two French Marshal Q and one Starfleet Q) plus over 150 million Parsteel. The one choice, in Part 1, does not change the rewards.

Escort Vash to Veridian I. You collect her from the Federation Archaeology Council meeting in Tau Ceti, and on arrival in Veridian, Syndicate ships block the way. You choose whether to fight them or pay them off.

Investigate the disturbance within the Nexus. Orion and Syndicate ships interrupt your readings in Veridian, and you fight three of them before moving in.
- Gather readings from the Nexus from a safe distance in Veridian.
- Defend yourself from the Orions in Veridian (enemy strength ~910,378).
- Push back the Syndicate fleet in Veridian (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Destroy the Syndicate Thug’s ship in Veridian (enemy strength ~902,683).
- Move closer to the Nexus in Veridian.

Q Where? Part 3
Return to your Station for repairs. Three hostile ships follow you home, and after beating them you pay for fleet repairs.

- Defeat the Nausicaan Hunter (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Defeat the Corvallen ship (enemy strength ~910,378).
- Use 6M Tritanium to repair your fleet.

Q Where? Part 4
Escort Q to the Nexus and retrieve Vash from the Tirikans. This part is all travel and donations, with no fights.

- Donate 5M Tritanium to the Tirikans.
- Donate 1.5M Dilithium to the Tirikans.

Confront Q Junior near the Nexus. He throws a series of conjured enemies at you in Veridian.
- Bring Q closer to the Nexus in Veridian.

- Defeat the Doomsday Worm in Veridian (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Defeat the Swarm Drone in Veridian (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Return to your Station.

Q Where? Part 6
Find and recruit Romi. After hailing the Enterprise-E in Terra Nova, you track her down through a Ferengi supplier on Ferenginar and clear a bar tab.
- Move into hailing range of the Enterprise-E in Terra Nova.

- Pay 1M Dilithium to settle Ten Forward’s bill.
- Beam Romi onto your ship in Ferenginar.

Q Where? Part 7
Convince Romi that Q is not a threat. A distress call in Kalla leads to hull repairs, a hostile sweep and a medical run to Noakyn.
- Intercept the distress call in Kalla.
- Donate 5M Tritanium to repair the stranded ship’s hull breaches.
- Defeat 15 hostiles of level 36 or higher.
- Bring the survivors to a medical outpost in Noakyn.

Check near the El-Aurian homeworld for signs of life. The Borg are waiting in System J-25 and follow you into Neethia.

Confront Q Junior in Klingon space. The broker’s lead takes you to No’Mat, and a Klingon assault catches you as you flee through Azha.
- Follow the broker’s lead to No’Mat.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 38 or higher.
- Flee from Klingon territory to Azha.
- Defend yourself from the Klingon assault in Azha (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Return to your Station.

Tips for completing Q Where?
In Part 1, both choices pay the same rewards. Attacking costs a sweep of 12 level 38 hostiles, while paying off the Syndicate costs 50M Parsteel, so choose based on whether you would rather spend time or resources.
Warp is steady at 44 to 48 for most parts, with Parts 8 and 9 dropping to 25 and 24 and Part 3 staying at your Station. A ship that reaches warp 48 covers the whole chain.
Part 4 is the expensive one: 40M Parsteel, 5M Tritanium and 1.5M Dilithium to the Tirikans. It also pays 74,574,000 Parsteel, so the Parsteel is returned within the same part. The other costs are 6M Tritanium in Part 3, 1M Dilithium in Part 6 and 5M Tritanium in Part 7.
Every named enemy is listed between about 900,000 and 940,000 strength. Hostile sweeps in Parts 7, 9 and 10 take the most time.
Are the Q Where? rewards worth it?
Yes, for Q collectors. You earn two Mariachi Q shards, two French Marshal Q shards and one Starfleet Q shard, plus 153,115,000 Parsteel, 12,689,000 Tritanium and 2,000 recruit tokens across five types. The fights are small for level 38, and the donations are largely covered by the Parsteel the chain pays out. The STFC mission guide lists other chains in this range.
