Protect the Nest is a Klingon mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Romulan-led mercenaries are moving on the Gorn Capital Embassy, and you defend it by investigating a blockade around RaDu’qeb, clearing ten hostiles and eliminating a Corvallen General of about 415,226 strength. It is picked up in Beta Penthe, needs warp 33 to start and warp 38 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. Warp 38 and the General are the real bar. The reward is 11,570,000 Parsteel, fifty 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups and a big block of Klingon standing.
Protect the Nest objectives
Three objectives with no choice split:
- Investigate the apparent formation of a blockade around RaDu’qeb. Location: Quv Qeb.
- Destroy 10 Hostiles of Level 32 or higher.
- Eliminate the Corvallen General. Location: Quv’lw. Enemy strength is roughly 415,226.
The first step takes you to Quv Qeb to look into the blockade. The hostile objective has no fixed system, and any hostile of level 32 or above counts, so you can clear it wherever you already hunt. The last step is the scripted fight against the Corvallen General in Quv’lw, and beating him ends the mission.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Beta Penthe, which needs warp 33. Completing the mission needs warp 38, since the objective systems, Quv Qeb and Quv’lw, need more range than the pickup does.
The recommended level is listed as 1. Ten level 32 or higher hostiles and a 415,226 strength boss are the practical requirement.

Protect the Nest and Shadow Arena pay the same Klingon Credits and Klingon Points and take the same 45,696 Romulan Points. Protect the Nest has the easier boss but adds a ten-hostile grind, and it pays far more in raw resources. Meridor and Gagh is the fight-free option with a smaller standing gain.
Tips
Do the hostile objective near home. It has no location, and any hostile of level 32 or higher counts, so you do not need to hunt around Quv Qeb.
Arrive at Quv’lw with full hull. The Corvallen General is the only scripted fight, and at about 415,226 strength it is the heaviest fight in the mission.
Mind the Romulan loss. 45,696 Romulan Points is more than the 42,000 Klingon Points you gain, so check your Romulan standing if you are building it.
Use the repair speed ups freely. Fifty 15 minute speed ups are 12.5 hours of repair time, a useful buffer after the General fight.
