Prime Directive is a two-part mission chain in which the Forsaken find a pre-warp world, Iakar, in trouble, and you decide whether they should stay hidden or step in. It opens with a spy watching the Forsaken in the Veil, then moves to the Forsaken Council and an away team on the planet. Both parts are recommended for level 71 and reach warp 1,550, starting in Xaporila. Rewards include 5,800 Σ-Federation Credits, 29,200,000,000 Federation Points, 3,375,000 7★ Raw Gas, 1,000,000 Ship XP and 2 Gravimetric Data. With a single fight and one donation, it is one of the lighter chains at this level.

Prime Directive Part 2
Will the Forsaken break General Order 1? Iakar is close to war, with damage across the planet and a spatial irregularity in its orbit that will make things worse. The Forsaken are not Starfleet, so the rule does not bind them, and you choose which way to go.

- Decide what to do about Iakar.

Tips for completing Prime Directive
The only combat in the chain is the spy in Part 1, at about 4.3 trillion strength. Once that ship is down, the rest is travel between Alvolea and Kheania plus one donation, so any ship that reaches warp 1,550 can finish Part 2.
Both Part 2 paths cost 25K Σ-Dilithium and pay the same rewards. The only difference is the final step in Kheania, where you either cover your tracks or meet Iakar’s leaders, so choose by story.
The chain raises Federation standing and lowers Klingon and Romulan standing, with 34,200,000,000 Klingon Points lost across both parts. See faction reputation before you commit if you are working on a Klingon tier. The Commander’s first run-in with the Forsaken comes in the level 70 Margins chain, and Alvolea is also where the Forsaken party in Swinging for the Fences takes place.
Are the Prime Directive rewards worth it?
Yes, especially for Federation-aligned players. Two parts pay 5,800 Σ-Federation Credits, 29,200,000,000 Federation Points, 2 Gravimetric Data, 1,000,000 Ship XP and 3,375,000 7★ Raw Gas, plus 228,000 Σ-Parsteel. The cost is one fight and 25K Σ-Dilithium. For more level 71 missions, see the STFC mission guide.
