Predator and Prey is a five-part chain in which you help the Majalans against the Actian Brood, gather toxin samples, track a thief and decide who controls the Mantis. All five parts are recommended for level 33, and warp to complete stays between 11 and 22. The chain begins in Majalan. The officer reward is four batches of Strike Team SNW Ortegas shards in Part 5, whichever way you choose. Expect frequent fights, no donations and low warp.

Predator and Prey Part 1
You meet the Majalans in Majalan, where two ships attack before you can speak with the Majalan scientist.
- Go to the Majalan System.
- Defeat the Actian ship (Majalan, enemy strength ~531,649).
- Defeat the second ship (Majalan, enemy strength ~527,149).
- Meet with the Majalan scientist.
Warp to complete: 11. Rewards: 10x 4 Hour Assignment Speed Up and 1,400 Latinum.
Predator and Prey Part 2
The Majalans need data. You find an Actian Brood cluster in Sorenle, defeat an Actian ship, gather a toxin sample and return to Majalis.
- Find the Actian Brood cluster (Sorenle).
- Defeat the Actian Ship (Sorenle, enemy strength ~547,080).
- Gather a sample of Actian toxin (Sorenle).
- Return to Majalis (Majalan).
Warp to complete: 15. Rewards: 3,381,000 Parsteel, 140 3★ Battleship Parts and 600 3★ Raw Ore.
Predator and Prey Part 3
More samples are needed. You hunt the remaining Actian ships in Niawillen, collect the toxin and face another hostile ship on your return to Majalan.
- Find the remaining Actian ships (Niawillen).
- Defeat the Actian ship (Niawillen, enemy strength ~531,649).
- Collect the toxin (Niawillen).
- Return to Majalan.
- Defeat the Hostile ship (Majalan, enemy strength ~527,149).
Warp to complete: 22. Rewards: 782,000 Tritanium, 210 3★ Interceptor Parts and 900 3★ Raw Gas.
Predator and Prey Part 4
Someone has stolen from the Majalans. You locate the Mantis, find the thief in Seevor, disable the thief’s ship and get to the Mantis.
- Locate the Mantis (Majalan).
- Find the thief (Seevor).
- Disable the thief’s ship (Seevor, enemy strength ~547,080).
- Get to the Mantis (Seevor).
Warp to complete: 20. Rewards: 100,000 Dilithium, 140 3★ Explorer Parts and 600 3★ Raw Crystal.
Predator and Prey Part 5
The Majalans meet you in Krlakh to decide the Mantis’s future, and you choose whether to hand it over.
- Meet with the Majalans (Krlakh).
Warp to complete: 20. Kala and Rann disagree on the Mantis. Handing control to Rann means fighting Kala, and refusing means fighting Rann. Either way you get four batches of Strike Team SNW Ortegas shards.
Hand the Mantis to Rann
- Defeat Kala (Krlakh, enemy strength ~531,649).
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: Strike Team SNW Ortegas shards (x4) and 1x 1 Day Peace Shield.
Refuse to hand it over
- Defeat Rann (Krlakh, enemy strength ~531,649).
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: Strike Team SNW Ortegas shards (x4) and 1 Relocation Token.
The only difference is the extra item: a 1 Day Peace Shield if you hand over the Mantis, or a Relocation Token if you refuse. Both fights are listed at about 532,000 strength.
Tips for completing Predator and Prey
Warp is low. Part 1 needs warp 11 and no part goes past warp 22, which Part 3 needs for Niawillen.
A full run has seven ship fights, all between about 527,000 and 547,000 enemy strength. Parts 1 and 3 each have two, so repair between them.
There are no donations, payments or hostile kill quotas in this chain.
Pick the Part 5 option by the extra item you want, since the officer reward is the same.
Are the Predator and Prey rewards worth it?
For Strike Team Ortegas, yes. Four batches of shards come with 3.4 million Parsteel, 782,000 Tritanium, 1,400 Latinum, and a spread of raw materials and 3★ ship parts.
