Position of Power is a very early mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. A Nausicaan Raider wants a third party to step into a turf war he hopes to profit from, and you are that third party. The mission is recommended for level 4, needs warp 3 to start and finish, and has a single objective: defeat five hostiles of level 4 or higher. The reward is 20 Recruit Tokens. It is a quick mission and a handy way to turn routine hostile kills into recruits.
Position of Power objectives
There is one objective and no choice split:
- Defeat 5 Hostiles of Level 4 or higher.
No system is named for the kills, so any hostile at level 4 or above counts, wherever you find it. There is no scripted boss, no donation and no return trip. The mission completes as soon as the fifth qualifying hostile is destroyed.
Where and what warp
Position of Power is offered in twelve pickup systems: Benzi, Laurgatt, Aker, Takik, Estrada, Bohvanderro, Vinland, Zukerat, Bridford, Ruli, Baw and Landi. You only need to visit one of them to pick it up.
Warp 3 is enough both to start and to complete it. The recommended level is 4, which matches the level floor on the hostiles you need to beat.

The reward is 20 Recruit Tokens. The mission does not unlock a follow-up part.

Position of Power is the only one of these that needs just warp 3, and it has no named destination at all. Most of the others send you to named systems, such as Tellun for A Matter of Honor and Maluria for No One Gets Left Behind. If you want Recruit Tokens from this group, No One Gets Left Behind pays the same 20 and adds a Grace Chen shard, but it takes more steps.
Tips
Pick it up before a hunting session. Because any level 4 or higher hostile counts, the kills you were going to make anyway can finish it.
Do not bother hunting stronger targets for it. A level 4 hostile counts the same as a higher one, so the nearest valid targets are the fastest route.
Spend the 20 Recruit Tokens on officer recruitment when you have enough saved for a pull. Small token rewards like this one add up across the early missions.
