Pax is a Romulan story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that sends you to the disputed Corvallen system of Alatum to remove rebel leaders and put Tal Shiar agents in their place. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the mission needs warp 48 to finish and its one fight is against insurgents at roughly 1,373,877 strength, so warp range and ship power are the real bar. It pays 4,440,000 Tritanium, 600 Romulan Credits and 100,000 Romulan Points, while costing you Federation and Klingon standing. Run it if you are building toward the Romulans.
Pax objectives
There are three objectives and no choice split, so every player follows the same path:
- Visit the disputed Corvallen system of Alatum. Location: Alatum.
- Eliminate the Corvallen Insurgents. Location: Alatum. Enemy strength is roughly 1,373,877.
- Escort the Corvallen Primary to Romulus. Location: Romulus.
The first step is travel only. Once you arrive in Alatum the insurgents become the target, and they are the single combat objective in the mission. At close to 1.4 million strength they are far beyond anything a starter ship can handle, so treat the listed level of 1 as a formality.
With the insurgents gone, the last step moves the story to Romulus, where you escort the Corvallen Primary. That escort closes the mission, which means you end deep in Romulan space rather than back at your station.
Where and what warp
Pax becomes available at warp 1 and no pickup system is named, so it can sit in your mission log well before you are able to run it. Completing it takes warp 48, since both Alatum and Romulus have to be within reach.
The recommended level is 1. In practice, a ship that can reach warp 48 and win a fight at around 1.37 million strength is what the mission actually asks for.
Pax rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 4,440,000 |
| Romulan Credits | 600 |
| Romulan Points | 100,000 |
| Federation Points | -100,800 |
| Klingon Points | -67,200 |
| Damaged Datapad | 1 |
The two negative lines are part of the payout. Finishing Pax lowers your Federation and Klingon standing by the amounts shown while raising your Romulan standing.
Pax and Calls For Unity compared
Pax follows Calls For Unity, the mission where the Praetor calls on trusted servants to bring more allies to the Romulan cause. The two share the same reward pattern, with Pax adding a large Tritanium payment:
| Mission | Warp to complete | Fights | Main rewards | Federation / Klingon Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calls For Unity | 40 | None listed | 750 Romulan Recruit Token, 500 Romulan Credits, 100,000 Romulan Points, 1 Damaged Datapad | -91,200 / -60,800 |
| Pax | 48 | Corvallen Insurgents in Alatum | 4,440,000 Tritanium, 600 Romulan Credits, 100,000 Romulan Points, 1 Damaged Datapad | -100,800 / -67,200 |
Calls For Unity is a tour of summits and recruiting stops at warp 40. Pax pushes the warp requirement to 48 and adds a real fight, and the reputation hit to the other two factions is slightly larger.
Tips
Check your faction reputation before accepting. The mission takes 100,800 Federation Points and 67,200 Klingon Points, so if you are close to a reputation threshold with either faction, that loss matters more than the Tritanium.
Bring your strongest combat ship for Alatum. The insurgent fight is the only thing standing between you and the reward, and it is sized for a well-developed account.
Plan the route as one trip. Alatum comes first and Romulus last, so once the insurgents are down you can head straight for Romulus to finish the escort.
The Tritanium is the most broadly useful reward. At 4,440,000 it covers a solid share of upgrade costs at the stage where warp 48 is comfortable. More missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
