Pathfinding is a standalone Romulan faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you run a routine patrol for the Romulans. Every objective is inside the Draken system, where you pick it up: patrol around three of its planets and report back to Draken IV. It needs warp 17, has no fight, and lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 70 3★ Interceptor Parts, a Cargo Container and Romulan faction rewards.
Pathfinding objectives
Four objectives, all in one system, no choice split:
- Patrol the space around Draken I. Location: Draken.
- Patrol the space around Draken III. Location: Draken.
- Patrol Draken V and its moons. Location: Draken.
- Return to Draken IV. Location: Draken.
The patrol is a loop around the Draken system: Draken I, Draken III, then Draken V and its moons, finishing at Draken IV. No hostile is listed at any stop.
Where and what warp
Pathfinding is picked up in Draken and needs warp 17 to start and to complete. Since the whole route stays inside Draken, you never need more range than it takes to get there. The recommended level is listed as 1, and with no combat, any ship that reaches Draken can finish it.
Pathfinding rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| 3★ Interceptor Parts | 70 |
| Romulan Credits | 50 |
| Romulan Points | 800 |
| Federation Points | -442 |
| Klingon Points | -294 |
| Cargo Container | 1 |
The Federation and Klingon Points figures are negative, so they are small deductions rather than gains. Pathfinding does not unlock another mission.
Other Romulan missions picked up in Draken
| Mission | Story | Main rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Pathfinding | Perform a routine patrol for the Romulans | 70 3★ Interceptor Parts, 50 Romulan Credits, 800 Romulan Points |
| Cleanup | Reduce the number of hostile ships in Romulan space | 273,000 Parsteel, 80 Romulan Credits, 800 Romulan Points |
| Lone Wolf | Destroy the Klingon scout in Draken | 41,000 Tritanium, 100 Romulan Credits, 1,000 Romulan Points |
| Weak and Powerless | Extract a former member of Nero’s crew from Romulan territory | 2 Javaid shards, 80 Romulan Credits, 800 Romulan Points |
All four are picked up in Draken at warp 17, and each also pays a Cargo Container. Pathfinding is the only one that pays ship parts.
Tips
Take the other Draken missions at the same time. They share the same pickup and warp, so one trip covers them all.
Send a spare ship. Nothing on the patrol fights back, so there is no reason to use your main battleship. Separator, picked up in Vendus A at warp 19, is a similar standalone Romulan mission with two fights. For more Romulan missions see the Romulan faction page, and the mission guide lists every mission by level.
