Part of Something Bigger is a Star Trek Fleet Command story mission in the fight against the Borg: help Scotty retrieve Jaylah from the grasp of the Borg Collective. It opens at warp 1, needs warp 23 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The route runs from Starbase 80 in Xerxes to Iezat and Afritalis, with two fights at roughly 415,000 and 432,000 strength. The reward is 2,791,000 Parsteel and 83,000 Dilithium, and finishing it unlocks No Fighting in the War Room.

There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Rendezvous with Scotty on Starbase 80. Location: Xerxes.
- Track Jaylah to Iezat. Location: Iezat.
- Disable Jaylah’s ship. Location: Iezat. Enemy strength is roughly 415,226.
- Escape from the Borg pursuers. Location: Afritalis.
- Defeat the Borg pursuer. Location: Afritalis. Enemy strength is roughly 431,670.
- Return to your Station with Jaylah.
You meet Scotty at Starbase 80, then track Jaylah to Iezat. Her ship has to be disabled rather than destroyed, and it is the first of the two fights at about 415,226 strength.
With Jaylah aboard, you run for Afritalis, but the Borg catch up. The pursuer there is the tougher fight at about 431,670. After that, you bring Jaylah home to finish.
Where and what warp
Part of Something Bigger becomes available at warp 1 and no pickup system is named. Completing it needs warp 23, which covers Xerxes, Iezat and Afritalis.
The recommended level is 1. The two fights, both above 415,000 strength, are the real test, especially since the second follows a travel step rather than a trip home.

The fights in Part of Something Bigger match the strength range of Cracks on the Surface, so a ship that cleared the blockades is ready here. The next mission has no combat but asks for 850,000 Parsteel.
Tips
Repair between Iezat and Afritalis if you can. The Borg pursuer is the stronger fight and comes right after the escape step.
Hold back some of the Parsteel. No Fighting in the War Room needs an 850,000 Parsteel donation, and this mission pays 2,791,000, which covers it three times over. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
