Our Past is in Their Future is a single story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about rescuing a Vulcan ship from a Romulan assault. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but it takes warp 70 to finish and ends with a fight against the Augur at roughly 1,969,977 strength, so it is late-game content. The only reward is 4,063,000 Dilithium, a large payout for four objectives.
Our Past is in Their Future objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Find the Vulcan ship. Location: Vola.
- Defeat 25 hostiles of Level 40 or higher.
- Defeat the Augur. Location: Vola. Enemy strength is roughly 1,969,977.
- Return to your Station.
The first step is travel. Once you reach the Vulcan ship in Vola, the mission asks for 25 kills against hostiles of level 40 or higher. No system is named for that step, so any qualifying hostiles count wherever you find them.
The Augur is the one scripted fight, back in Vola. After it goes down you only need to bring your ship home.
Where and what warp
The mission can be picked up at warp 1, which means it can appear in your list long before you can finish it. Completing it needs warp 70, and Vola is the only system the objectives name.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. Treat that as a formality. The warp 70 finish, the level 40 hostile requirement and an enemy near two million strength are the real bar, and a ship that cannot handle all three will stall partway through.

The reward is 4,063,000 Dilithium. There are no ship parts, shards or speed ups attached.
Completing the mission unlocks the next one in the storyline, Birds of a Feather.
How it compares with Birds of a Feather
The next mission picks up the Romulan thread by chasing a spy, and it asks for more warp. Current game data for the two:

The enemy strength is the same in both missions, so the ship that beats the Augur can also handle the dock guard. Birds of a Feather also offers a way to buy your way past the fight with 875,000 Dilithium, and this mission’s reward covers that donation several times over.
Tips
Knock out the 25 hostiles efficiently. The objective only asks for level 40 or higher, so pick a spot with plenty of hostiles at a level your ship clears quickly. Killing far above the minimum does not help.
Repair before the Augur. If the same ship handled all 25 kills, it has taken a lot of damage along the way, and a fresh hull matters against a target near two million strength.
Keep some of the Dilithium if you plan to take the donation route in Birds of a Feather. Holding 875,000 back means that choice is open when you get there.
